It’s that time again, but not just time to Reveal a Treatbox, oh no, but also time to Reveal the Christmas month Treatbox! Exciting stuff right? It’s usually one of my most anticipated boxes of the whole year.
This festive season the Treatbox gives us another set of treats and edible delights to enjoy. I was expecting the chocolates because I saw Zoe put something up on Instagram about tossing coins into each of the boxes before sealing them up.
The Items I Found Inside My Box For December Were…

The socks are adorable! I will always be happy to receive more Joe Cool socks, I have loved every pair I’ve gotten in a Treatbox and they are such good quality. I have a little Christmas Rabbit with a hat on one ear, queue the “Aww!”.
I think the make your own Polar Bear is a particularly sweet idea and really nice to make one cold afternoon in December for you to put on to your Christmas Tree!
There are two Treatbox original Christmas Cards and two A5 Prints. I really like all of these, they are good quality and are nice enough to even frame and stick up around your home this Christmas.
We also have a Brownie in a Mug mix, Ooo! Yum! And a cute little Lindt Chocolate Bear!
And finally we have another face mask this month. I would have preferred no mask this month and seen another Christmassy related item or a Wintery item but never mind! I guess some people manage to do masks every week, I know I just don’t find the time as a single mother, ha! ha!
All in all it’s a good box of treats this month and I’m happy with it. I think if there had been a set of battery powered fairy lights included instead of the face mask, then it would’ve been up there with one of the best Christmas boxes! C’est la Vie!

What Do I Love Most In This Box?
I cannot express how happy I was to see the Calendar Print! I love it too being a Cat related image! It has gone straight on to my Fridge. I do hope this will be a regular occurrence again! If so, then fab! I adore the scarf it is both pretty and soft, and the pattern is versatile enough to go with anything in my wardrobe.
The Lip Scrubber is really useful and a very handy product considering we are now entering into Autumn and Winter. A good idea to have in your bathroom in case of dry lips!
I haven’t eaten the Treat Bar yet, but it sounds delicious! And I have gifted the Coffee Bag to my Mother who adores her Coffee, I am not fond of it in all honesty. I’m sure she will enjoy it!
The Affirmation Cards are wonderful! Just when you need a pick me up they are right there. Wonderful quaint designs and they say all the right things. I have popped two of them on my fridge along with my calendar, because as someone who is currently working through a low self esteem, it’s really nice to have reminders such as, “I am enough” and “I am strong” etc.
I love the pink theme this month, to be honest the whole box is well thought out. I am also ecstatic because there isn’t a face or eye mask in sight! Hurrah! *Dances* I really hope this is a good move and a turning point, because if it is then I am happy to continue my subscription. I want (as I’m sure many of you do) a Treat to eat or drink, something to cherish or wear, something to do and enjoy and something to inspire. The calendar print I would love to see return, as I would also love to see A5 prints perhaps. I have a few of the A4 ones from the last 3 years of boxes framed around my home and I still adore them.
I am very much looking forward to my October box now, I hope it is full of inspiring things and perhaps an Autumnal theme…

My Honest Opinion I really love the compact mirror, it is good quality and ideal to keep close to my bed in case I need a mirror quickly while caring for my son.
I also think the notepad is nice, it’s of good quality with lots of pages, and I like the “Keep Going” slogan too. It is handy for me to pop little messages in with my post to loved ones.
The pin is great! Love the quote and the colours, it’s unique! In fact I liked it so much that I have gifted it to my younger sister who has been going through a tough time, it’s on the way to her in the post as I write this.
I don’t like the fact that I can’t eat the chocolate bar due to its ingredients, it sounds so tasty too! So sadly I will be gifting that to a relative to enjoy!
I haven’t tried the tea yet, and the Print has a great quote on it that I think everyone should take notice of.

As a birthday present from March I have received a couple of boxes from Glossybox and I wanted to review their contents for you. Because I had a Mystery box at the end of March followed swiftly by the April Blossom box, I figured I would combine the two unboxing reviews instead of bring you too many beauty posts within a short time frame.
I made the choice to head into isolation quite early, it was the week of my birthday, and following that only weeks later it was Mother’s Day. I didn’t do a lot for either of then and it left me feeling pretty low as the prospect of now not seeing family for months dawned upon me. So I made the decision to order a Glossybox on a deal which saw me receive a Mystery Box for the end of March and a week later I got the April Blossom Box. They were little pick-me-ups at a time when I needed some distraction from everything going on.
In the early morning light, I was ready to test these beauties!
I had never had a Glossybox before but having followed them on social media for a long time, I knew about their concepts for the box and hoped I would find the products inside useful. Well I wasn’t wrong!
March Mystery Box
I’m first going to talk about the March Mystery Glossybox, which I have tested several of items from that box which appealed to me the most. This box was my first impression of Glossybox as a brand. I liked how neatly everything arrived and it was a nice gift to unwrap surprises.
Here are the five items that arrived in the March Mystery Box.
Maria Nila 1 Shampoo and 1 Conditioner Bottles 1 of each 100ml Mitchell and Peach Eau de Parfum 15ml Kandi Skin Work Out Mask Bang Beauty Black Felt Tip Eyeliner 1.8g
I was interested in the Shampoo and Conditioner, as someone with naturally curly hair, Sulphate Free Shampoo usually works for me.
Maria Nila True Soft Shampoo and Conditioner 100ml Bottles x 2 (one of each) Produced in Sweden with a Colour Guard Complex and Softening Argan Oil Vegan, Cruelty Free, Sulphate Free, Paraben Free
These Shampoo and Conditioner smelt lovely and were lovely and soft in my hands. As for my hair, they made it soft and lightweight and helped with my unruly curly frizz. I did find that my hair required washing a day earlier than I would usually do so though. Otherwise a lovely product I will happily continue to use until they are all gone.
Mitchell and Peach Flora no.1 Fine Edition Eau de Parfum 15ml
The Mitchell and Peach perfume smells nice, it isn’t the type of scent I would normally wear, however it is nice and spring-like. The bottle size is ideal for a handbag or travel bag. It says it is created in England using essential oils from the Mitchell Estate, which is very interesting, and I like to support British business where I can.
Now I am going to talk about the April “Blossom” Glossybox which honestly I was really impressed by. My first proper Glossybox containing the handpicked products that they had chosen for this month as opposed to the mystery box I received initially. They did well to stick with the Blossom theme within the products and even the box smelt nice when I opened it.
The products that I had inside my “Blossom” box for April were the following: Nails INC Nail Polish – Pink – “Blossom Kisses” 14ml Avant Face Exfoliant “Gentle Rose Beautifying” 50ml The Ritual of Sakura Cherry Blossom Rice Body Scrub 70ml Sanctuary Spa Nourishing Rose Petal Face Mask 30g Sport FX Raspberry + Rhubarb Recovery Lip Balm SPF15 8g
I have tested everything except for the Mask as I haven’t had time to do it. Three products stood out for me in quality, the lip balm smells really lovely and was nice when worn, but it is not the best balm I have tested. I would give it a 4/5.
It’s hard for me to pick a true favourite item in this box because I have three that I loved and would rate all three of these 5/5. So I’m going to tell you about each of them now and why.
Firstly the Nails INC Nail Polish was such good quality, one coat lasted ten days with minor chipping, that includes daily chores, washing my hands tons of extra times a day and playing and bathing my toddler! It’s an excellent brand of polish and a lovely shade of pink as well, you can see photos of me wearing this polish on my social media. The quality and ease of application with the nicely shaped brush are why I give it 5/5.
My second favourite is the Ritual Cherry Blossom Body Scrub. It made my skin smell lovely and feel soft. It was a nice product for a bit of much needed self care, I used mine in the shower as I have little time for a bath these days! Cherry Blossoms are some of my favourite flowering trees. For how it made my skin feel, with no reactions and a little of it went a long way too, that’s why it gets 5/5.
Finally my third item of choice is the Avant Face Exfoliant. I often use a face cleanser and scrub so it was nice to try a new brand of one. It smells strongly of the Rose and was incredibly soft between my fingers. You can barely feel the scrub aspect, it’s gentle on your skin but very effective. I now use it three times a week to remove dead skin. This face exfoliant worked well with my skin, I had no reactions which is something I’m always wary of having sensitive skin. I have used it for two weeks now and would recommend it to others, I’m not even a quarter down the tube after multiple uses, for its quality I’d definitely like to give it a 5/5.
Thank you for joining me for this beauty review today, I know that it’s been a while since I shared any of my self care on my blog, that is mainly due to the fact I haven’t tried any new products for a while, plus my self care and skin routine has kind of gone out the window recently. I rectified this when I realised that I need to start taking better care of myself. I was putting all of my energy into being a good mother and it left me with very little time nor energy to do the little extras for myself. But do you know what? Trialing these products made me realise that I do deserve to do more than just cleanse and moisturise once a day. I have thoroughly enjoyed reviewing these items and noticed my skin improved too. Plus I have made time for skin care in my life through buying these boxes and that cannot be a bad thing! I just now need to maintain that time!
Would I recommend Glossybox to a friend? Or even any of you? Yes I would. If you like to try and find new beauty and makeup products and enjoy the testing aspects, I would say go for it. It’s a box of treats and self care is so important.

My Honest Opinion on the Contents of the month’s box
Overall I am very happy with the April 2020 box. I love the Print, the Coaster and the Positivity Diary most. The floral design throughout really made me happy when I saw it, very pretty and representing Spring in a beautiful and colourful way.
Something like this diary will bring me a lot of joy to complete. And I plan on keeping it once it is full and then look back on it in years to come. This virus will be a turning point in some many peoples lives, and documenting what it was like will be interesting to show my children or even my grand children one day (hopefully!).
Socks are always nice to receive I think, and getting a pretty item is a bonus. I like that the edible item is British made in Shropshire from Eggs from this county, and considering it was the county I was born in, I like it even better!

My Honest Opinion
Overall this box was average in my opinion. It’s very nice to have a mixture of treats that we can enjoy and relax with when we have the time, such as the tea and the biscuits. I’m so glad there isn’t a face mask because I still have some from previous months I haven’t had time to use yet! Ha!
I also like getting products from brands that we haven’t seen before. These are also high quality and of British made I believe which is excellent.
Two stationary items in one box was a little bit unexpected after us receiving a notepad in January. But luckily I am a big fan of making lists and staying organised! The Memo Pad is cool too with all it’s different shaped sticky notes. Perhaps it’s time to get a snazzy pen in an upcoming box to go with all our Treatbox Notepads! Hint! Hint!
What I loved the most this month was the Daily Planner and the pretty A5 Print with such a great Quote on it!

The first thing I notice is the scarf, wow it’s beautiful! It has instantly become my favourite item inside this month’s box. I look forward to wearing it.

My Honest Opinion
Here we are everyone, it’s February! I was looking forward to this box, as it could have literally been anything and the themes aren’t a thing anymore. Knowing it would be self care and making time for yourself is always good, but it’s also different for every person.
I’m very pleased with most of its contents. I especially like the scarf, the case and the shots.The quotes and the quality in these three items are right up my street. The card is also nice and has a good quote to remind us all that grey days do eventually pass. The bath bomb is a nice touch but I honestly don’t have much time to relax in the bath these days! HA!
We do have yet another Korean Beauty, which I would like to see something else inside the next box, perhaps still beauty but not a mask, maybe a lip balm, a stick on tattoo or even something like jewellery perhaps… the final item I think might be a sticker of some sort, but without the useful calendar and explanation page I can’t tell you what it is! I shall find out from Zoe and update my blog accordingly!
Finally the quote on the A5 print this month hit home to me, we often find ourselves so busy to do self care, I know I do. Some days I do feel I am just giving what is left, and I want the people directly in my life to have the best parts of me.
Overall I have really liked the February box, there have been some nice items and a good improvement on the products inside too.

Hello There!Happy New Year! Welcome to the January 2020 Treatbox Reveal and Review.
So inside the Treatbox the sticker reads “Warning, Opening this Package will result in Happiness” and there are also two pieces of paper.
The first one reads “Happy New Year” and tells us that Zoe is making some changes to these monthly boxes, to make them about Positivity and “Looking After Yourself”. She has chosen to remove the leaflet about the products and that also means that we no longer get the Calendar Print. Zoe says if we have her Treatbox Newsletter then we could download one. But I didn’t notice that available on my email and it’s now 10th January so is there much point? I don’t have a printer, so I wouldn’t be able to use the calendar unless I used it digitally. I liked having the calendar to write on so I will miss this aspect of the box… it used to go on my fridge…
The second paper says “January” and outlines that this box will be about Positivity and ways we can introduce more of that into our daily lives. The card tells about ways in which we could do that at home. In short, Start the day on a Positive, Focus on what is Good and finally Set Short Term Goals. These are all good points, I almost wish the back of the card had a positive quote or a pretty picture on the back of it too though!
This box has a dark navy tissue paper wrapping up all this month’s treats inside. Inside the January box you shall find…

My Honest Opinion
So I get that Zoe wants to revamp the boxes and that’s great, although it is a shame the calendar is no longer included. I love the positivity that she wants to spread. However if this is going to be a face or eye mask every time then I can’t see me keeping up my subscription. We also have yet another ring dish, those who are regular subscribers will probably have about seven of these now. I gave two away recently I had never used. You don’t need a lot of these things, otherwise they just clutter your home unnecessarily. The air fresheners are also not my cup of tea, they are the sort of thing you get for free when you have your car cleaned! I believe that is the poor item this month. I will end on a positive however, the pin is fantastic! It’s just what I needed to hear at the moment, the “Keep Going” quote resonated with me this month and I like its rainbow design as well. The keyring charm thing is also nice and of good quality, and reads “Smile”. It will make a nice bag charm, I may put it on my changing backpack to remind me to smile even if I’m changing a nappy ha! ha! The notepad is useful but I can guarantee I have enough note books and pads now to last me around ten years, and I regularly make lists!
A mixed bunch for this newly designed monthly box, so I will see what the next two are like. My birthday is in March so I will subscribe until then as a gift to myself, then I think I will reevaluate.

My Opinion on the November 2019 Box The items I like most in this month’s box are ‘home’ sign, the mindfulness prompt cards, the sweets and the mask.
I will be gifting away the hot chocolate because it’s not dairy free sadly, but I know of someone who will love it so it’s going in as a Christmas Stocking filler!Ooo!
I am most looking forward to eating the sweets, hanging up my ‘home’ sign on the wall. And I will try using the mindfulness cards too for the coming weeks.
This is a positive card that I do intend to take inspiration from, this is a lovely idea to incorporate at the end of your day instead of a diary entry.Candy Kitten Sweets are Vegan! And So Yum!More of the mindfulness cards…I actually achieved this card this month, two large bags of unwanted clothes and bric-a-brac have gone to a charity shop.
These candles smell nice…
Not much relaxing happening for me at the moment, so the mask is going in my drawer for a time when I have an hour or two free in order to pamper myself!

Happy Treatbox Day! It is time for some unboxing! This is my Reveal and Review of the October Treatbox.
It has a tissue paper of deep purple again this month and the sticker says “xoxo Treatbox” on it.

My Opinion on the October 2019 Box I really love some of the items in this months box, especially the Socks, Balm, Bookmark, Recipe Notepad and Brownie Mix!
I love Reading and this Bookmark has one of my favourite quotes of all time on it!
The socks are great quality and the Panda is so cute too! I am someone who nearly always has socks on her feet because they get cold so easily.
The Miracle Balm is a great handbag size and can be used on any dry skin. It smells lovely and I used it on my lips and found it very smooth.
I will definitely be using the Recipes Notepad because I’m always making up new recipes in my kitchen, and I often don’t have anywhere to write them down, so I write on post-it notes or a note on my phone. Now they can go on here! Hurrah!
Finally the Brownie in a Box is great because it has no dairy in it so I can eat it! Yay! I can add dairy free butter to it and even soya milk if I’d like, when I do enjoy it! I will pop it on my social media when I do!
The other additions to the box of a Recipe is lovely (I may have to alter it to suit our family allergies but I will give it a go at some point!) and the Soap + Sponge is rather intriguing! I will be gifting the Chai off to my Sister who loves this sort of thing!
All in all a very good box and I’m happy with the contents.
