Welcome to Severn Wishes Blog where I, Sabrina, regularly review a wide variety of things such as this Treatbox! This subscription box has been going for years and I buy one every month as a gift to myself. I review said box here on my website and showcase the products on my social media platforms too, it’s known as Sabrina’s Reveal and Review.
So what’s inside the September box? Well this month our Calendar Print reads “holding on to the last bit of summer” and I am so glad that they did! I’m not ready to admit that it’s over with for yet another year.
A beautiful lilac tissue paper and a white heart sticker leads me into unwrapping a box filled with pretty pieces and Treatbox UK originals.Let’s see exactly what’s inside…

What Are My Thoughts?
Overall this is a very nice box filled with several items that we have not had before from previous months. The necklace in its own original Treatbox bag, the original designed notepads and the trinket dish are stand out items for me due to their quality and appearance.
The other items are also good and I look forward to trying out the hand mask this month and using the pen. I tried it out already and it’s black ink inside and writes nicely and smoothly.
I really look forward to giving the sponge a go as well! Keep a look out on my social media images for the products in use over the coming weeks.
Thank you for joining me for another Reveal and Review from me, Severn Sabrina!

So we are just over half way through the year now and it’s time for the July Treatbox UK Reveal and Review.
Thank you for joining me for this unboxing! It’s time to look at the products in this months box and for me to review them for you!
If you would prefer to watch my video then head to my Facebook or Instagram.
The July box features TB OR – Treatbox Original Products only available by ordering from Treatbox UK.
What’s Inside the July Treatbox UK?
July Calendar Print TB OR A6 Print “sunshine and happy days” Smiley Face Socks TB OR Greetings Cards – 2 Cards for Passing on the Sunshine Merci Hand Cream in Hello Sunshine scent 30ml Candy Kittens – Tropical Mango flavour 54g The Happy Newspaper by Emily Coxhead issue 26 Tea Pop Gourmet Tea – Caramel flavour (in my box but may vary)
My Honest Opinion of the July box
What a box of sunshine! When I opened up the Treatbox and I saw the theme was sunshine and happy vibes it was just what I needed to boost my week. We had socks again and I was really happy about that because I love the quality of the socks! They are soft and cute as usual with smiley faces on this time! And what I also loved was the fact that we can pass on the happiness and sunshine from our July box by sending the Treatbox UK cards on to someone we care about!
The Merci hand cream smells lovely like summer flowers on a sunny day, a light cream that melts into your hands and comes in a handbag size to boot! Perfect for use all year round! It made my skin feel very soft after I used it a couple of times.
The Candy Kittens sweets are Vegan, Palm Oil Free and are now Carbon Neutral too! You get 54g to enjoy of this treat with natural fruit flavours in Tropical Mango. Yum!
We have the Happy Newspaper which I haven’t read all of yet, but hearing about happy stories and inspiring people is always a good thing. It’s important that we focus on some of the good things happening in the world even when times are hard, because if you look hard enough there is always some good news to find somewhere.
I haven’t had the Tea Pop yet because we are having a heatwave in the UK right now and I cannot stand drinking a hot drink when I’m already feeling very warm. However I did have an idea for this which was… make up the tea – I had Caramel flavour – and then pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze it! Pop these Caramel flavoured ice cubes into Pepsi Max or Water and make it a new flavour! Seeing as the heatwave is set to continue for yet another week I will make room in my freezer and do this! I will post about it on my Instagram and let you know how I get on!
Finally there are the Print, Wrapping Paper and the Cards – Treatbox Original Products – all made with the theme of sunshine! July is meant to be the happy and sunny month of the year (if we’re lucky) and so far we seem to be having just that! May the sunshine continue! I look forward to passing the cards on to people when it is appropriate to use them, and using the paper to wrap a present for someone.
Here are some more photographs now of the products I got within this box.
Thank you for joining me as I have unboxed and reviewed this July subscription box today. Treatbox UK is currently the only monthly box I am subscribed to and the reason for that is due to consistently great content and products that I hold in high regard. Providing items that are Vegan, Carbon Neutral, Sustainable and Healthy are very important to me. I get a treat but I’m also not harming the planet in the process.
I wish you a lovely month of July 2022! Please stop by again soon for another Reveal and Review!
This Spring I became part of the UK Maybelline Team of Bloggers who Review products that are brand new out in the country. Maybelline New York is one of the leading brands worldwide for make up. I have been reviewing a few items, and today it’s the turn of the Vegan Instant Skin Perfector 4 in 1 Whipped Matte Makeup to go up on my blog.
To see my other Maybelline Reviews after you’ve read this one, please click the Maybelline Category on the homepage of my blog.
I have been sent this sample for free for the purpose of providing a written review and photography across my social media platforms. I am always honest in my critique and review a product solely upon my own personal experience of using it.
I was pleasantly surprised with this makeup because a little of it on your finger or brush goes a long way. It was so soft and easy to apply to my skin with a great match! Light was the colour I was matched with online, and it blended in well and minimised the look of redness, blemishes and even my dark circles somewhat too. I highly recommended this product if (like me) you don’t have much time in your morning routine for applying makeup, As a single mum I need something that I can apply fast but without compromising on its effectiveness. With having a 4 in 1 application this cream saves me lots of time in a morning, and since the initial review I have frequently used it and applied it after my daily SPF moisturiser. I feel like there is barely anything on my skin, and I found my skin felt breathable compared to some makeup which can feel physically heavy set in the pores of the face. The Vegan formula is also something I can really get behind and I’m always trying to go Vegan friendly when it comes to makeup. The 4 in 1 Matte Makeup was also easy to remove, I use a Garnier Face Wash and then a Garnier Micellar Water to remove any makeup that I apply. I would recommend for people to at least try this makeup for themselves and see if they get as good a match, it has true to skin shades and self adjusts to fit your unique tone. I have sensitive skin, and I had no reaction to this makeup.
BEFORE & AFTER
As you can see in my images, before I had quite a lot of redness in my skin, and afterwards that redness is reduced and so are my pores.
Overall Appearance in Use 4✩ Overall Product Quality 5✩ Skin-True Match 5✩ Staying Power 4✩
Now that I have used this product for a few weeks I will say it is excellent, easy and fast to apply, saving me lots of time, and a great match to my skin, no reactions and a good staying power. It did go a little cakey one time when I was outside a lot of the day and I think that may have been the wind drying out my skin. Other than that one occasion its been a fantastic product. I would recommend people still applying their usual SPF face cream about 15 minutes prior to putting on this matte makeup. SPF is so important and the extra moisture will undoubtedly increase the makeups staying power.
About the Skin Perfector Matte Makeup Vegan Whipped Matte Makeup Available in 6 Self-Adjusting and Skin-True Colours Contains a 4 in 1 formula of Primer, Pigment, BB Cream and Powder 4 Benefits in 1 of Blurring, Concealing, Evening the Skin Tone & Mattifying the Finished Look
Wishing all who have read this review a happy and healthy remainder of April!
Thank you for visiting Severn Wishes Blog today, I hope to see you again soon!
Here are some of my images of the contents in the July box.
My Honest Opinion of this Box
I left my expectation of this box at my front door as it popped through my letterbox. I really hoped it would be good because I have been somewhat disappointed by some of the boxes this year. I wanted this box to redeem itself for the month and give me a reason for continuing my subscription…
The items are a nice mixture and I did like how it was themed towards Bee’s and Flowers and Summer. As well as self care as well. The cool bag is of good quality and I love the design of the yellow and bees.
The Gin Fizz Sweets are going to be gifted to my mother who loves Gin! The mask is going to be popped in my drawer with the others until I have some self care time (hardly ever with a toddler in tow!).
The print is nice, simple but a pretty design. The biscuit I have yet to eat because I need to go on to their website and check the allergens.
Finally the Charcoal Soap and Sponge is a really nice item. I have been after something similar myself and so this will be thoroughly tested and I will report back via my social media about what I thought…
My favourite items for their potential are by far the small cool bag and the charcoal sponge. Although I’m sure my mother will be delighted by her sweeties!
So has the box redeemed itself? It has! But I am still unsure about whether or not I will be continuing with the subscription. It’s £12 for me because I was one of the first subscribers many years ago, I certainly don’t believe it’s worth that some months. I think I have two choices, I either continue bringing you these reveals and I gather myself some Christmas presents using the bits and bobs I don’t want every month… or I cancel my Subscription and perhaps get something I will always enjoy? Which is a tough ask! Because almost everything through your door is a gamble these days, I don’t think I have had a box that I have used every single item of for around two years now… so… decisions, decisions!

Thank you for visiting Severn Wishes today, I hope you enjoyed the Review of this July Treatbox and I hope to see you here again soon for another one of my Reviews.
I do hope you have a lovely week, I have a busy one! I’m now off to test a new product for Argos Testers!
I’m Sabrina of Severn Wishes Blog, and I give honest reviews on a wide range of products and subscription boxes that I purchase, today it’s the turn of Treatbox UK.
Hello readers! How are you? It’s time for me to discuss the May 2020 Treatbox Reveal.
Remember to follow me on my social media for more Treatbox photos, with the products in use and updates on my individual thoughts and reviews too!
Here are the contents of the May box, this month there are 7 items plus the Treatbox Original A5 Print.
Print “It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary.” “You Got This” Emery Board Seacret Mineral Soap 30g All Earth Natural Bath Accessories Skin Scrub Heart Relax Pink Himalayan Bath Salts – Pure and Unscented Bee Good Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm (Made with Honey from British Bees) JeJu Korean Beauty Intensely Hydrating Coconut Oil Hair Mask Korean Beauty Replenishing JeJu Island Hydrogel Face Mask
My Honest Opinion I really loved the print this month, the quote was great and appropriate for everyone who is struggling with self care during this most difficult time. I totally believe in being kind to yourself, this is one of the reasons why I buy a Treatbox for myself each month, it is my gift to me, from me.
The Lip Balm was nice when I used it, it made my lips lovely and smooth. An extra emery board around the house isn’t a bad thing either, loving the quote of “You Got This” and the cool pattern on it!
I had a Seacret Soap in a Treatbox a couple of years ago and I still haven’t used that! So I now have two!
The Relax bath salts sound lovely, if I had the time to have a bath! Ha! Ha! They will go in my drawer that I call “to do and try when I have some time to herself” in other words my self care drawer!
I don’t like the fact that we have yet more Korean Beauty items this month. I still have ones that I haven’t used, I just don’t have time with a toddler in tow and trying to work from home.
So Treatbox used to be a box of treats, a mixture of items, a pick me up, sometimes a snack or a drink, something self care related, some stationery, something random but often inspirational, a piece of homeware, maybe even something to wear like socks or a scarf and occasionally a beauty item. But lately I feel like Treatbox has lost it’s identity and is moving towards being a pick me up box of self care and beauty. Where as I used to love the box because it wasn’t like so many others on the market. Lots of people would disagree with me I’m sure, and love getting items like the ones this month. But they are usually the people who have the time to relax and enjoy them all each and every month. I know it’s hard to get things to include in boxes right now, with lockdown and so many people not working, so I wasn’t expecting anything wild and amazing. But I would once again like to see a mix of items in the boxes, if it continues to be masks and soaps and bath items I just cannot justify the spend each month for items I am simply just not using or enjoying.
I hate having to be so brutally honest but I have always been the same. I cannot hide my overall disappointment in the May box.

Thank you for visiting Severn Wishes today, I hope you enjoyed the Review of this Treatbox and I hope to see you here again soon. Have a lovely day. ✩ Sabrina ✩
As a birthday present from March I have received a couple of boxes from Glossybox and I wanted to review their contents for you. Because I had a Mystery box at the end of March followed swiftly by the April Blossom box, I figured I would combine the two unboxing reviews instead of bring you too many beauty posts within a short time frame.
I made the choice to head into isolation quite early, it was the week of my birthday, and following that only weeks later it was Mother’s Day. I didn’t do a lot for either of then and it left me feeling pretty low as the prospect of now not seeing family for months dawned upon me. So I made the decision to order a Glossybox on a deal which saw me receive a Mystery Box for the end of March and a week later I got the April Blossom Box. They were little pick-me-ups at a time when I needed some distraction from everything going on.
I had never had a Glossybox before but having followed them on social media for a long time, I knew about their concepts for the box and hoped I would find the products inside useful. Well I wasn’t wrong!
I’m first going to talk about the March Mystery Glossybox, which I have tested several of items from that box which appealed to me the most. This box was my first impression of Glossybox as a brand. I liked how neatly everything arrived and it was a nice gift to unwrap surprises.
Here are the five items that arrived in the March Mystery Box.
Maria Nila 1 Shampoo and 1 Conditioner Bottles 1 of each 100ml Mitchell and Peach Eau de Parfum 15ml Kandi Skin Work Out Mask Bang Beauty Black Felt Tip Eyeliner 1.8g
I was interested in the Shampoo and Conditioner, as someone with naturally curly hair, Sulphate Free Shampoo usually works for me.
Maria Nila True Soft Shampoo and Conditioner 100ml Bottles x 2 (one of each) Produced in Sweden with a Colour Guard Complex and Softening Argan Oil Vegan, Cruelty Free, Sulphate Free, Paraben Free
These Shampoo and Conditioner smelt lovely and were lovely and soft in my hands. As for my hair, they made it soft and lightweight and helped with my unruly curly frizz. I did find that my hair required washing a day earlier than I would usually do so though. Otherwise a lovely product I will happily continue to use until they are all gone.
Mitchell and Peach Flora no.1 Fine Edition Eau de Parfum 15ml
The Mitchell and Peach perfume smells nice, it isn’t the type of scent I would normally wear, however it is nice and spring-like. The bottle size is ideal for a handbag or travel bag. It says it is created in England using essential oils from the Mitchell Estate, which is very interesting, and I like to support British business where I can.
Now I am going to talk about the April “Blossom” Glossybox which honestly I was really impressed by. My first proper Glossybox containing the handpicked products that they had chosen for this month as opposed to the mystery box I received initially. They did well to stick with the Blossom theme within the products and even the box smelt nice when I opened it.
The products that I had inside my “Blossom” box for April were the following: Nails INC Nail Polish – Pink – “Blossom Kisses” 14ml Avant Face Exfoliant “Gentle Rose Beautifying” 50ml The Ritual of Sakura Cherry Blossom Rice Body Scrub 70ml Sanctuary Spa Nourishing Rose Petal Face Mask 30g Sport FX Raspberry + Rhubarb Recovery Lip Balm SPF15 8g
I have tested everything except for the Mask as I haven’t had time to do it. Three products stood out for me in quality, the lip balm smells really lovely and was nice when worn, but it is not the best balm I have tested. I would give it a 4/5.
It’s hard for me to pick a true favourite item in this box because I have three that I loved and would rate all three of these 5/5. So I’m going to tell you about each of them now and why.
Firstly the Nails INC Nail Polish was such good quality, one coat lasted ten days with minor chipping, that includes daily chores, washing my hands tons of extra times a day and playing and bathing my toddler! It’s an excellent brand of polish and a lovely shade of pink as well, you can see photos of me wearing this polish on my social media. The quality and ease of application with the nicely shaped brush are why I give it 5/5.
My second favourite is the Ritual Cherry Blossom Body Scrub. It made my skin smell lovely and feel soft. It was a nice product for a bit of much needed self care, I used mine in the shower as I have little time for a bath these days! Cherry Blossoms are some of my favourite flowering trees. For how it made my skin feel, with no reactions and a little of it went a long way too, that’s why it gets 5/5.
Finally my third item of choice is the Avant Face Exfoliant. I often use a face cleanser and scrub so it was nice to try a new brand of one. It smells strongly of the Rose and was incredibly soft between my fingers. You can barely feel the scrub aspect, it’s gentle on your skin but very effective. I now use it three times a week to remove dead skin. This face exfoliant worked well with my skin, I had no reactions which is something I’m always wary of having sensitive skin. I have used it for two weeks now and would recommend it to others, I’m not even a quarter down the tube after multiple uses, for its quality I’d definitely like to give it a 5/5.
Thank you for joining me for this beauty review today, I know that it’s been a while since I shared any of my self care on my blog, that is mainly due to the fact I haven’t tried any new products for a while, plus my self care and skin routine has kind of gone out the window recently. I rectified this when I realised that I need to start taking better care of myself. I was putting all of my energy into being a good mother and it left me with very little time nor energy to do the little extras for myself. But do you know what? Trialing these products made me realise that I do deserve to do more than just cleanse and moisturise once a day. I have thoroughly enjoyed reviewing these items and noticed my skin improved too. Plus I have made time for skin care in my life through buying these boxes and that cannot be a bad thing! I just now need to maintain that time!
Would I recommend Glossybox to a friend? Or even any of you? Yes I would. If you like to try and find new beauty and makeup products and enjoy the testing aspects, I would say go for it. It’s a box of treats and self care is so important.

Hello Treatbox Fans! It’s time for the February 2020 Treatbox Reveal and Review!
Greeted by baby pink paper and a sticker that reads “Awesome People’s Club” the February treatbox smells nice as I open it up…
The first thing I notice is the scarf, wow it’s beautiful! It has instantly become my favourite item inside this month’s box. I look forward to wearing it.
White Scarf with Triangular Pattern Details “Dream Big” Long Cosmetics Bag / Pencil Case “Don’t Worry if Today Feels a Little Grey” Treatbox Card Self Care Print A5 Korean Beauty Mask – Purifying Pink Clay Sheet Mask Whitworth’s Shots – Berry and White Chocolate – Healthy Snack Pink Heart Bath Bomb A Sticker – I think! Will Update! “Beautiful Inside and Out”
My Honest Opinion
Here we are everyone, it’s February! I was looking forward to this box, as it could have literally been anything and the themes aren’t a thing anymore. Knowing it would be self care and making time for yourself is always good, but it’s also different for every person.
I’m very pleased with most of its contents. I especially like the scarf, the case and the shots. The quotes and the quality in these three items are right up my street. The card is also nice and has a good quote to remind us all that grey days do eventually pass. The bath bomb is a nice touch but I honestly don’t have much time to relax in the bath these days! HA!
We do have yet another Korean Beauty, which I would like to see something else inside the next box, perhaps still beauty but not a mask, maybe a lip balm, a stick on tattoo or even something like jewellery perhaps… the final item I think might be a sticker of some sort, but without the useful calendar and explanation page I can’t tell you what it is! I shall find out from Zoe and update my blog accordingly!
Finally the quote on the A5 print this month hit home to me, we often find ourselves so busy to do self care, I know I do. Some days I do feel I am just giving what is left, and I want the people directly in my life to have the best parts of me.
Overall I have really liked the February box, there have been some nice items and a good improvement on the products inside too.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the December 2019 Treatbox Reveal and Review.
It’s time to open the Treatbox for the month and we know that this box shall have a partial Christmas theme or treat inside!
This box has a lovely festive red tissue paper wrapping all the lovely treats inside. I can smell something wonderful as I open the cardboard lid and find the calendar print…
… inside the December box I find…
Calendar Print December 2019 Heart Shaped “Merry Christmas” Hang-able Christmas Decoration Desk Calendar for 2020 East of India Page of Beautiful Stickers Sass & Belle Re-usable Fold-able Shopping Bag Christmas Pudding Korean Beauty Radiant Skin Pearl Hydrogel Mask Recipe Card for Chocolate Log Festive Smelling Soap Slice – Snowberry – Vegan & Handmade

My Honest Opinion
Overall this box is great! I love the Christmas themed items such as the recipe which is a great to my recipe box. The decoration is well made and the bag is useful to carry presents to give out during the festive season. The stickers are of nice quality and I look forward to using them during the next year. I am a little disappointed to receive yet another Korean Beauty item, because I haven’t had the time to try the last mask yet! However the Calendar for a desk or table is excellent and I like to be organised and use this sort of thing.

My Opinion on the November 2019 Box The items I like most in this month’s box are ‘home’ sign, the mindfulness prompt cards, the sweets and the mask.
I will be gifting away the hot chocolate because it’s not dairy free sadly, but I know of someone who will love it so it’s going in as a Christmas Stocking filler!Ooo!
I am most looking forward to eating the sweets, hanging up my ‘home’ sign on the wall. And I will try using the mindfulness cards too for the coming weeks.

Hello and Welcome to the January 2019 Treatbox Reveal with Sabrina of Severn Wishes Blog.
Happy Treat Box Day! It’s the very first Treatbox of 2019!
The little sticker reads With Love and the tissue paper is light pink.
I have waited a while longer for the box due to the Christmas break, with the dispatch day being delayed. It was just sods law that my family were all ill around that time so this review has had to come later than I had planned.
So here are all of the contents of the first box of the year, the January 2019 Treatbox.
This month there are 7 physical items, plus the Calendar Print and an A5 Print as well.
Calendar Print for January 2019 A5 Print – “New Year, New Feels, New Chances, Same Dreams, Fresh Starts” Designed by Treatbox – Desk Planner – Goals and Daily Organising 2 Tea Bags – Pukka – Cleanse Baume Du Sourire – Lip Balm – Mint Aroma 15ml Willow and Rose Mobile Phone Holder Ring Clip Vitamasques – Strawberry Yoghurt Mask 15ml Designed by Treatbox – Magnet – Happy Clouds and Suns
Here is a selection of my photographs of this month’s box, I hope you enjoy seeing the items up close.
My Favourites
My favourite pieces in this months box are the Desk Planner, the Magnet, the A5 Print and the Calendar Print. I’m hoping to make use of the planner as often as possible and hope it will aid with both my blogging and organising my time at home.
My Overall Opinion
I really loved the Treatbox originals and I’m happy with the Magnet. It’s been nice to receive new things, and useful items. Though we have yet another face mask… I was a little disappointed with that as I haven’t yet used the previous one we got. The phone clip ring is a nice idea but it would ruin the design on my phone case so I won’t be using it. It’s a great idea for the younger generation though who take a lot of selfies!
