November 2018 Treatbox Reveal

Hello and Welcome to the November 2018 Treatbox Reveal
with Sabrina of Severn Wishes Blog.

Happy Treat Box Day Everyone! It’s the last Treatbox of the year before the Christmas box!

This month the Treatbox UK theme is “Freedom and Me Time”.

The little sticker reads “With Love” attached to a deep navy blue tissue paper.

Here are all of the contents of the November 2018 Treatbox.

This month there are 6 items in the Treatbox plus a Calendar Print and an A5 Print.

Calendar Print for November 2018
A5 Print – Definition of Hygge
Treatbox Colouring Book featuring Treatbox drawn pictures
Set of Colouring Pencils
Pair of Socks – Polar Bears Design
Treatbox Rose Gold Heart Wish Bracelet
Spacemasks – Interstellar Relaxation
Kiwi Slice Eye Pads

Here is a selection of my photographs of this month’s box, I hope you enjoy seeing the items up close.

My Favourites

My favourite pieces in this box have to be the Colouring Book with Pencils, the Socks, and the Bracelet. As a mum to a young baby I don’t get much time to do things like face masks anymore! Ha! Ha! Maybe one day I can get an afternoon to myself, have a pamper! And with that in mind I hope that they will keep! It’s a lovely idea for a proper pampering though!

My Overall Opinion

I enjoyed the fact that we had several Treatbox Original and Unique items this month. The bracelet is beautiful and the over all quality of the items is good. Although we only received socks in the September box I do love socks, I always have cold feet and you always need quality and cute socks! Especially now with Winter fast approaching, Socks are indeed wanted!

August 2018 Treatbox Reveal

Hello and Welcome to the August 2018 Treatbox Reveal
with Sabrina of Severn Wishes Blog.

Happy Treat Box Reveal Day Everyone! I have been so busy (and exhausted) these last few weeks with my newborn baby, and I am bringing you this Reveal a few days later than planned. Remember if you follow me on social media like Instagram, I usually post things there first, so keep in touch that way if you always want to be first to find out what is inside subscription boxes such as this one.

This month the theme is “Botanical”!

Behind the lush grey shade of tissue paper and the sticker this month that reads “When life gives you lemons make lemonade” and through the paper I can see an array of leaf related patterns!

Here is a list of all the items contained in the August 2018 Treatbox.

This month there are 6 main items in this Treatbox plus a Calendar and an A5 Print.

✩✩✩

My Favourites

My favourite pieces in this box have been the “Happiness” cards and the Lunch Bag. I’m always happy to use items that have been fully or part made from recycled materials, and I’m always happy to support British business as well.

The cards are well designed and printed to a high quality, inspirational and unique to Treatbox which makes them extra special. Now that I’m a new mum I’m finding things like Cool Bags very useful. I currently have a bag of drinks and snacks in three rooms of my house, so wherever I might end up for breast feeding I have a bag of supplies ready to help me through the times ahead.

My Overall Opinion

What I enjoyed this month was a theme that was well thought out and the actual botanical theme was intriguing. I wondered what sort of things would fit into this category, but actually it all worked well. I liked the uniqueness of some of the products because they have been designed and created at Treatbox HQ!

I’m looking forward to using the two skincare items (when I get fifteen minutes to myself) and hope that they are as relaxing and as self caring as they seem to be on their packaging.

For those of you who don’t know I had my baby in July, and he wasn’t too well at the beginning. He is making great but slow progress now thank goodness. So it has meant that my blog has had to really take a back seat, more so than I had originally anticipated it would. Hopefully once our routines are established I can get back on track with two posts a week, but until that time it looks like it will just be the one post. I hope to continue with Treatbox if I’m able to in both time and of course financially. But my little boy comes first from now on, as many of you can understand.

Review and Unboxing of the July Box from The Lifestyle Box Co

Hello and Welcome to a brand new Unboxing and Review with me, Sabrina.

Today I have the pleasure of bringing you the Reveal of the July box from The Lifestyle Box Co. I’m excited to be bringing you this brand new collaboration on Severn Wishes.

I have been approached by the lovely ladies at the company to unbox this Lifestyle orientated subscription box on my blog, and explain what the box and the company are all about.

The Lifestyle Box Co is fast becoming a number one subscription box for women in the United Kingdom. If you love all things Lifestyle, you want high quality items and all while supporting an independent British company, then this is definitely the box for you!

Inside this monthly subscription box you can find 4 treat items, these tend to be from the following category types. There’s Stationary, Homeware, Fragrance, Confectionery, Beauty and Jewellery.

Whether you’re into treats for you or for your home, The Lifestyle Box Co has a little of everything to brighten up your month, all delivered direct to your door.

The overall look of the subscription box is excellent, a professional logo sits centrally and the first thing I notice after that is its strong box to transport the items that are inside. The box is also reusable due to its fold over lid, because I have seen how durable it is I will certainly be reusing it for something.

I’ve been sent the July box which has a theme of “Secret Garden”. I’m intrigued as to what items may fall under this theme and category, there are plenty of flowers available at this time of year to make products out of… so without further ado! This is what I found inside the box…

My Overall Opinion

My overall thoughts about this subscription box are that the quality of its items out weighs many that are available on the market. I was impressed with how the box is put together. Not only was the theme well considered but the products inside are made to a high standard, those that state they are made in the UK is a bonus in my eyes. We are supporting business within our country and I would rather be doing that these days. I’m also impressed with how the theme goes throughout the products but nothing is duplicated. So one if for enjoying in a scented capacity, one is to consume, one is to use on the body and the other is for us to distribute and see what grows from it. The box has an overall great mixture of items, and I’m sure many people would appreciate a little bit of everything, including things we can do ourselves.

My Favourite Item

There were two treats that I liked the most and I couldn’t choose between them. I am a huge fan of nature and grew up in rural countryside, so the “Seed Bom” resonated deeply for me with memories of fields of wild flowers, and I’m up for anything that helps with our Bees too! The other item has to be the Candle, what a gorgeously presented product, that not only is created to a high standard but it’s also handmade in the United Kingdom, I believe that effort can be seen and smelt in its quality.

More About The Lifestyle Box Co

The Lifestyle Box Co are based in Cheshire and is an independent company ran by two inspiring women Marie & Melanie. The aim of the Lifestyle box is to be a treat for women who enjoy the more luxurious of lifestyle items. Melanie and Marie believe people should be able to treat themselves and feel guilt free when it comes to self care and self love. Hard working women should be able to enjoy a treat without any worry, and all the better if the products are supporting small businesses and strong UK brands.

Every month there is a different theme, and the ladies work hard to research high quality brands and products for their boxes. This month for July was of course “Secret Garden” but there have been many other themes in recent months, all of which have been received by customers with great success! The boxes also have a colour to coincide with the theme…

I asked Marie to tell me a few more things about The Lifestyle Box Co. and this is what she said…

“Melanie & I started the Lifestyle Box co for a number of reasons…..we are VERY alike, we love to shop and we have keen eye for hunting out beautiful items. Melanie is the ex head buyer at boohoo so brings a wealth of experience there too.

We are big lovers of mindset, positivity, spirituality and ultimately self care. With the Lifestyle Box we saw that busy women were often putting themselves last on their long list of priorities so we love to embrace this as their guilt free moment in the month where they treat themselves for a job well done!

We wanted to be more than just a beauty box….we adore beauty and pamper products, but then we equally adore gorgeous chocolate truffles, or a trinket for the Home, or a beautiful bit of stationary….
Our boxes have a monthly theme. Each theme has a colour and we build each box around that theme, carefully selecting four items that compliment each other beautifully.

Our July box is our Secret Garden Box. It’s been a huge success and another sell out box 💚 We’ve also been featured in Cheshire Life Magazine this month and you can read our full story there too! It’s been a fab month.”

The subscription to The Lifestyle Box starts from £20 and you can subscribe from one month up to 6 on a prepay plan. It is a rolling monthly bill that has a renewal date of the 20th of each month, with the boxes themselves being dispatched on the 10th of each month. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and the boxes will always contain four items. So have you been convinced to look more into this incredible company owned by two passionate and independent women? If so then I will now leave some links below to their website and social media so that you may follow the brand at your own leisure.

June 2018 Treatbox Reveal

Hello and Welcome to the June 2018 Treatbox Reveal with Sabrina of Severn Wishes Blog.

Happy Treat Box Day Everyone! I have had a busy weekend with family, I realise I am bringing you this Reveal a few days later than usual, sorry! I do hope that you’ll still enjoy my review.

This month the theme is Sunshine and Gardening! When I open up the box first of all I can see the Calendar Print staring back at me and also a pretty A5 print too!

As I open bright pink coloured tissue paper with a sticker that reads “Bloom Where You Are Planted” I can see a variety of bright items.

Here are all of the items in the June 2018 Treatbox. (Remember they can vary slightly!).

This month there are 7 items in the Treatbox plus a Calendar Print and an A5 Print.

Calendar Print for June 2018 – Sunflowers
Treatbox Sunflower Seeds
Treatbox “You Are My Sunshine” Wish Upon A String Bracelet
Summer Meadow Citrus Scented Mini Wipes
Decoration – Garden Plaque “In Our Garden We Plant Dreams & Grow Miracles”
Meal Planner and Shopping List Notepad
Vintage Looking Slanted Tweezers
Merci Handy – Hand Cream
A5 Print – “Bloom Where You Are Planted” with Flowers

Here is a selection of my photographs of this month’s box, I hope you enjoy seeing the items up close and if you have any questions then please leave me a comment at the end of the post, I will do my best to find you an answer.

My Favourites

My favourite pieces from this box are the Seeds, Meal Planner Notepad, Wish Upon A String and the Print. All these items are good quality and worthwhile to have or to use. I have always liked the idea of Wish On A String Bracelets and the Print is lovely. I will definitely be using the Planner because I generally am an organisation freak so this is perfect for my lifestyle! The Seeds are a great addition to the box this month, something that you can enjoy as a family and an activity like planting gets you outside and enjoying fresh air too – a bonus!

My Overall Opinion

I really liked the theme this month with sunshine and gardening, two things I love! The items were a nice mixture of things this month, things to do, to wear, to keep and to enjoy. Nothing stood out to me particularly but I also thought the quality overall was good. There were a couple of items that were “new” as in we hadn’t received anything of this kind while I have been subscribed. This was a nice bonus this month and I’m happy that the majority of the June box will be used and enjoyed by my family and I.

✩✩✩

Thanks for reading this post everyone! If you manage to watch my video right through to the end you will already know this, but I have to admit to you all that Treatbox might need to take a back seat on my blog for a while.

Although I have really enjoyed the Reveals of the months and years that I have been subscribed, my baby is coming soon and I won’t be able to put in the time and effort I would usually with the boxes. I don’t want to miss out, and I also enjoy the treats for myself once a month that I receive. But I have also noticed there are a few items in recent boxes that haven’t been suitable for me, this means I’m not enjoying the box to it’s full potential. I’m currently deciding whether or not I will stay subscribed, if I do then it won’t be to do a video reveal, only a photographic one.

So watch this space folks! And don’t forget Severn Wishes isn’t just about Treatbox! I write about every aspect of my life and review many a variety of things.

Thank you for your ongoing support, have a wonderful June!

My Tattoo Experiences – Hints and Tips and Photographs

Lifestyle Week on Severn Wishes

✩✩✩

My Tattoo Experiences

Tattoos, a lot of us have them, and a lot of us are happy to share our experience about it, be it good or bad. The vast majority of my experiences have been good ones though, and with so many of mine having specific meaning behind them, I wanted to share those with you today.

My first ever tattoo ended up being covered up a few years later, that wasn’t down to the design I chose but down to a bad artist who had convinced me he would do a good job. After he had inked me I realised how uneven it was and vowed that once I found a competent artist I would get it redone. Two years later I got a much better artist to do a cover up of it, keeping the design it just had to be made larger in order to become a cover up. Here is my before and after image below, including the fresh ink and fully healed. This Triquetra has family meaning for me.

This experience didn’t put me off having tattoos, in fact I have ten, and I would have more one day too. Having always been a very creative person and artistic, it was something I wanted to happen from a young age. I waited until I was over eighteen to have my first inking, but after that I had a new tattoo roughly every six months for the next four years.

✩✩✩

What My Tattoos Mean To Me

Now I am going to tell you about a few of my tattoos, and some information about the sorts of things most people would ask. Such as how long it took and whether or not it was painful in that area.

1. Teal Butterflies (2 of them) In Memory of my two Grand Fathers who both adored Nature and Gardening. They are either side of my Lower Back.

2. Pisces Symbol – My Star Sign – One of the Pisces Traits is to be Indecisive and that is most definitely me! This Tattoo is on the outside of my Right Leg.

3. My Number 7 – I got this tiny and minimal tattoo after I had my Triquetra covered up, the artist was kind enough to do it as part of my sitting. Number 7 is my Lucky Number and my Birthday too! Right Wrist Tattoo.

4. Sparrow – Symbolising New Beginnings, A Fresh Start and Freedom. This Tattoo is on the outside of my Left Leg.

5. Cherry Blossom Branch – My favourite Tree and my first ever memory as a child was of the Blossom Tree in our Garden. I have always loved and adored pink blossom. This Tattoo is situated on the inside of my Right Leg.

6. Daisy Flowers – I have always loved nature and nature reminds me of home. I wanted these tiny flowers to remind me of that. The colour has sadly faded a little over time… Situated on my Left Hip.

Sabrina’s Top Tips and Hints

Here are my top tips and hints for deciding if getting a Tattoo is the right thing for you. I believe you should be asking yourself most (if not all) of my points below. My tip is to write down the pro’s and con’s and make sure you do consider some research too.

Consider Timing, there is no point in getting a foot tattoo in the middle of freezing weather when you would have to cover it and therefore not letting it air and heal. Or getting a Tattoo right before a holiday in the sunshine, this can ruin the tattoo or cause infection to the healing skin.

Start Small with your first Tattoo, committing to a full back piece isn’t usually a good idea if you aren’t certain how you or your skin may react to the procedure, think about if you have sensitive skin or eczema for example (your tattooist will also need to know this and any medication you are on). Of course many people “go big or go home” and decide to do a large tattoo or commit to a sleeve for example. This of course is your choice, and is something that only you can decide upon.

Do you know your Pain Tolerance? This is a good question to ask yourself. Most people don’t realise that getting a tattoo has nothing to do with a phobia of needles or if you may have had many injections in your lifetime, it’s a totally unique experience and should be treated as such.

Choose Wisely both with your Design and Artist. Do your research and look into local artists and further afield, because if you want a good tattoo be prepared to travel for the artist. With regards to your Design, once you’re happy with it stick it in a location where you will see it every single day for a month. If at the end of that month you still love what you’ve chosen, then the odds are that you will still enjoy looking at it when it’s on your skin, in many years to come.

Use either Savlon or Bepanthen for After Care and apply regularly. Make sure that you keep the area clean and dry and air as often as possible to aid the healing process. I always used Savlon on all of mine, they healed beautifully and the colour has also remained in them all.

Visit your chosen Tattoo Artist, book an appointment to talk to them, ask them any Questions you may have before you book an actual inking appointment.

Take a friend or partner with you when you go, you may feel tired or uneasy after the inking is finished. You shouldn’t drive immediately after a tattoo or a piercing, give your body time to adjust to what has happened.

Make sure you’ve drank something and eaten before you get inked, and take water with you to sip, especially if its in a warmer month of the year.

Consider your bathing and sports when the tattoo is in the healing stages – no hot and forceful water can touch it and definitely no swimming because of the chemicals. Consider contact sports, if your tattoo could become easily knocked or bumped or is at risk of getting dirty and then infected.

Be aware that your tattoo placement might cause you some inconvenience, you may need to be shaved (for example on your lower leg even if you’re a man), and you might be swollen for a couple of days afterwards as well. Make sure the tattoo won’t hinder any job role or uniform that you need to wear.

Thanks for reading this lifestyle post, I hope you’ve enjoyed it. Why not let me know what you thought by leaving me a comment! I would love to know if you have a tattoo that you love…

Primark Beauty Items – Tried, Tested and Compared

REVIEW WEEK ON SEVERN WISHES

Primark Beauty Items – Tried, Tested and Compared

I’m not usually one for buying cheap products, and especially when it comes to using them on my skin because mine is classed as sensitive. However I have seen so many good reviews about these particular items that I felt the need to give them the benefit of the doubt. So I went out to get some, to test them for myself.

This small Primark Beauty “PS…” haul cost me just £5.50 towards the end of 2017 for these 5 items. One is a Tapered Brush, One is a Brush Cleaner Tool, One is a Facial Cleanse and Massage Brush, and One is a 2 Pack Beauty Blender Sponge Set.

Because I wear makeup so infrequently it has taken me a good while to compare these items to other products that I might use on a regular basis.

Now that I have however I feel that I can rate the items accordingly as I do with all of my reviews, and also offer some brand alternatives that I have and do use, and therefore do a short comparison on a few of them.

✩ The PS… Items ✩

Name: Tapered Powder Brush
Design: Black and Gold
Information: A Tapered Brush Used To Apply Powder To The Face
Price: £1.50
My Rating: 3✩’s

Review: This brush is soft and pretty, it is a nice length to hold but the brush itself doesn’t hold a great deal of powder product. it is definitely not the best brush I have owned, neither is it the worst. I would use it to apply my powder if i didn’t have another brush that was clean for example. I really like the design and the colours, it looks lovely in my brushes pot! Overall I don’t think I would buy it again because I have better brands, I love Spectrum Collections Brushes for their quality. These PS… Brushes are more than good enough for infrequently makeup applications however, or for taking on holiday with you…

Name: Makeup Brush Cleaner Tool
Design:
 Pink
Information:
A Tool Designed To Aid The Cleaning Of Makeup Brushes
Price:
£1.50
My Rating: 4✩’s

Review: This item is used as a tool for helping to clean makeup brushes. The ridges are very useful for gently rubbing your brushes up and down over it. When used with a mild soap or even Micellar Water the tool worked well to remove dirt.
I have a Spectrum Collections and a Makeup Revolution London Brush Cleaner Tool, and they all work in a similar manner. Some are just manufactured better, they have better grooves and designs and are made from better quality plastic so they are more hard wearing. But I have to say this PS… cheaper alternative still did a decent job with my brushes.

Name: Facial Cleanse and Massage Brush
Design:
Pink and Cream
Information:
A Brush And Tool Designed To Help Cleanse The Skin On The Face
Price:
£1.00
My Rating: 2.5✩’s

Review: This item is used as a cleanser, however I didn’t notice a huge amount happening to my skin when I used it. The product is okay, the brushes are not as soft as I would normally use for my delicate skin. Therefore I didn’t press too hard when using it. I do prefer to use other forms of skin cleansing such as gentle massage with products on my fingers as opposed to bristles on brushes.

Name: 2 Pack Beauty Blender Sponges
Design:
Orange and Yellow Shaped Sponges
Information:
Shaped Sponges Used To Apply Makeup To The Face
Price:
£1.50
My Rating: 3✩’s

Review: These sponges are designed to apply makeup, however the quality isn’t like that you would expect from a brand such as Real Techniques. The sponges are okay until you have used them and washed them a few times. Then I find that they are losing texture use after use. Sponges aren’t supposed to last forever though, and replacing them regularly is a good thing. I would only ever use them to apply concealer under my eyes for example. And with how infrequently I put on makeup they aren’t a bad buy really. If you can afford a better brand then do, because these PS… sponges won’t last you as long. But they still get the job done!

✩ In Conclusion ✩

Would I buy these items again? Probably not, they are definitely affordable and good value, but they aren’t for me as an every day staple. I would however consider this range if I didn’t want to take my best items with me on holiday for example. These cheaper alternatives that still work and are designed well, they are ideal for this sort of thing, long weekends away or holidays abroad…

I have to say the brush cleaner was a good tool, overall I would say this was my favourite item out of everything I purchased, and I would consider getting another if I ever needed to replace the ones I have. It’s handy for a quick clean or to throw in my travel bag for a weekend when I haven’t had the time to clean my travel brush set!

You can find the PS… Beauty brand at your local larger Primark stores and the range is always changing too, so be on the look out!

✩ TOP TIP ✩
Need something cheap but cheerful for your handbag or holiday that you could still rely on? Check out the latest PS… items in a store near you. For the prices I think the quality is better than you might think…

Until next times review, that’s it everyone, thanks for reading!

April 2018 Treatbox Reveal

Hello and Welcome to the April 2018 Treatbox Reveal
with Sabrina of Severn Wishes.

Happy Treat Box Day Everyone! We are now a quarter of the way through 2018, I don’t know about you but it’s flying by for me! My babies due date is fast approaching as is the summer! Hopefully the weather will start to improve though, am I right?

This month’s Treatbox we see a theme of Adventure and Nature.

So I had to video myself sitting in front of the camera for this reveal. I don’t usually do this, but I don’t have much choice because now as I’m too large to lie beneath my tripod as I would usually do to record my reveals. It will probably be a nice change for those of you who follow my blog to see me, and you’ll have to let me know what you think and if you prefer it!

As I open the April Calendar Print and read about the contents of this box, I can see some items I look forward to trying. Some look like they are of good quality and intrigue me. The sticker for this box reads “Life is a Beautiful Adventure” and without any further ado I begin to part the light green tissue paper…

Here are all of the items in the April 2018 Treatbox. As always there are some slight variations in the types and in the colours, usually people get a slightly different combination inside their box.

Inside the April month box there are 6 main items plus an A4 Print and the Calendar Print…

A4 Print “Wild and Free”
Hanging Banner with Scenic Landscape “And So The Adventure Begins”
Treatbox Pin and Card “Be Brave”
Sass and Belle Passport Holder – Pineapples

My Favourites

My favourite pieces from this box are the Banner, the A4 Print and the Pin.

I already have ideas for the Banner, which I outlined on the video when I recorded the Reveal. I would love to hang it on my child’s bedroom wall and perhaps get a Map of the World poster to go alongside it. I love the detail and it is a good quality item too!

The A4 Print and the Pin are both right up my street, I love anything with Arrows and they remind me of my time doing Archery when I was younger. The Pin is always a nice item to have. I said in my Video how we have a Giant Cuddly Bear with an old T-shirt on, and how he wears all of the pins that my family buy, receive or collect with pride.

My Overall Opinion

I really liked the theme for this month, it is that time of year that most of us begin to plan our summer adventures, and if I wasn’t already having the biggest adventure of my life (having my baby of course!) then I would have no doubt I would be in this category too.

The adventure element is one I believe in, life is too short not to be enjoyed at all opportunities. Whether you can afford to go away or not, you can still build adventures in and around your home and lifestyle.

I was impressed to see items that I hadn’t heard of, I look forward to trying the “Seacret” they are intriguing items and seem to be good quality from reading their packaging. The overall products are good and I cannot wait to use the prints and other adventurous pieces around my home.

Unfortunately I won’t be using my Passport this year with having my little one, but the Pineapple Holder will no doubt go in a drawer safe for next year when I can hopefully get away with my family.

March 2018 Treatbox Reveal

Hello and Welcome to the March 2018 Treatbox Reveal
with Sabrina of Severn Wishes.

Happy Treat Box Day Everyone! I’m not sure where February went but it certainly was fast for me, and it’s time for another Reveal and Review…

This month we see a Treatbox theme of relaxation and pampering.

As I open the print and read about the contents of this box, I can see several items I look forward to investigating, I unpeeled the sticker that reads “You Matter” and I begin to part the light blue tissue paper…

Here are all of the items in the March 2018 Treatbox. There are always slight variations in the types and the colours, everyone gets a slightly different combination inside their box. This month there are 9 main items in this Treatbox plus the calendar print…

Calendar Print for March 2018 – Enjoy
Mini Print – Be Kind To Yourself

Hanging Door Decoration –“Shh Now It’s Me Time”
Optiat Coffee Face Scrubs x 2
Eye Mask “Dreamer”
Charismatic Cat – Marshmallow Flavour Wax Melt Pot
Makeup Bag – “Contents – My Face”
Nails Inc Nail Varnish – Cotton Candy
Tea Huggers Teabags – Good Night Blend of Lavender and Fruit

Here is a selection of my photographs showing the items from this month’s box, I hope you enjoy seeing the items up close and if you have any questions then please leave me a comment at the end of the post.

My Favourites

My favourite pieces from this box are the makeup bag, the nail varnish and the tea.

The Nails Inc Nail Varnish that I have gotten is a gorgeous colour, a sea green almost and I adore any shades of turquoise so I was very happy with it. I will pop a photograph on Instagram once I’ve painted my nails with it.

The makeup bag is of excellent quality and is rather large too, ideal for housing your makeup for going away overnight or on a short holiday for example.

The teabags sound excellent and I will be sharing them with my husband so that we can both have a well rested night hopefully! I am having a lot of broken sleep at the moment and hopefully these will be rather relaxing.

My Overall Opinion

I like the theme this month, to be relaxed is very important to me at the moment while I’m expecting. I was impressed to see an item included this month that was ethically sourced and cruelty free too, and also from a company that I hadn’t heard of.

Unfortunately I won’t be testing the face scrubs due to a nut allergy because of the ingredients listed in both of the scrubs I received. However I will be passing them on to a member of my family and I’m sure she will give me an honest review.

Some of the items are very good quality and I’m looking forward to trying some of them out in the coming days of March.

I liked how thought out the theme was this month and the majority of items I will be keeping, and if not I will be gifting them on to family who I know will certainly enjoy them.

February 2018 Treatbox Reveal

Hello and Welcome to the February 2018 Treatbox Reveal with Sabrina of Severn Wishes.

Happy Treatbox Day!

I find lilac coloured tissue paper inside the February box and the usual Calendar Print stares up at me with a beautiful floral print. As well as this there is another Print that reads “Think Happy”.

The sticker holding the box together this month reads “You’re Doing Great”…

With this box I really like how the A5 Print and the Calendar Print have the same vibrant Floral Design. They are nicely symmetrical so as to go together for the month.

Here is my list of all the items available in the February Treatbox! Remember there will be slight variations in the types and the colours, this is so every box is not the same…

✩ There are only 6 items in this Treatbox plus one A5 Print and the Calendar Print, that is 8 things in total. As usual there are several variations for some of the products which gives you a greater chance of having a mixture of items.

Calendar Print for February 2018 – Floral Design – “Smile”
A5 Print – “Think Happy” with Floral Design
A5 Lined Notebook – “Shine Bright” 2 Variations

Dove Intensive Hand Treatment Cream – 75ml
Polka Dot Golden Ribbon Garland – 3 yards
Constellations Star Struck “Sparkle & Shine” Ring Trinket Dish

Candy Kittens – Sour Watermelon Sweets – Gluten Free – 52g
Star Design Lovely Lanyard with Clip End

Here is a selection of my photographs of this month’s box, I hope you enjoy seeing the items up close and if you have any questions then please leave a comment.

✩ My Favourites ✩

My favourite items from this month’s box were the Hand Cream, The Prints, and the Ring Dish.

The hand cream is lovely for this time of year and rather useful for those of us who have dry skin. Dove is also a very good brand and it smelt nice, I have yet to use it but have previously tried Dove creams and products and liked them a lot, I hope this is the same.

I loved that there were two matching types of Prints for the February box. Although I would have liked to see the Floral A5 Print to be in A4 size to match previous nice prints that we have received. The design is intricate and bright and a nice font was used too.

The Ring Dish runs on a Constellation theme that we have seen previously in another box, but it was nice to see the theme return, and with the Notebook as well. It was nice that these items were thought about, the theme joins everything together in a nice way. The quality of the items was good and although it is another dish to add to my collection, I have preferred the design of this one to some of the others.

(Jewellery shown was my own and not included, simply used as a prop to show the products purpose).

✩ My Overall Opinion ✩

Treatbox always has an interesting theme and this month is no exception. I was happy to see some of the items to be new in type such as the Lanyard, although we got yet another Ring Dish! Really? We do not need anymore of these things! And I think if I were to get just one more in the near future it would make me consider my subscription. I must have had 6 or more now (In almost 2 years of worth of boxes though).

With this box I was also disappointed to see so few items inside. There were only 6 main items along with the A5 Print and the Calendar Print. As with the most recent boxes we have received either 7 or 8 items plus the Calendar and sometimes the Print is A4 too. I’m not sure why this box has less inside it, I know it could be down to individual item cost, but looking at two of the items in detail I wasn’t so sure that would be the case. I feel after having so many boxes you expect a standard to be maintained and that doesn’t just include the quality it also includes the amount of things that you receive.

To conclude on this month’s Treatbox, I would say it was a good box with a good theme. Half of the items have decent or even very good quality, and despite the repetition of yet another Trinket Dish the quality and design of this item is very good. However I cannot ignore the fact that we have duplicate things once again. Another notebook, another dish and another stringed decoration. I certainly don’t use a notebook in just a month, and we received some in the January box.

I’m beginning to think you could have one out of every three boxes and not miss out on a great deal. In light of the past six months of box contents, I am going to consider the next box or two very carefully and then make a decision about the future that I have in reviewing the Treatbox on a monthly basis. There is only so many of the same thing you can have before the items get monotonous.
