This November I have been lucky enough to collaborate with Secret Scent Box again, and if you haven’t heard of them I’m going to explain how amazing their subscription boxes are and why you should check them out this festive season. Either to treat yourself or as a gift for a loved one, it’s a wonderful way in which to try new fragrances.
Secret Scent Boxes are the ideal Christmas gifts for the people in your life who enjoy designer fragrances and smelling fabulous. The best thing about this subscription is the fact that there are hundreds of scents to choose from, and Secret Scent Box ensure you get handy sized atomisers which give a minimum of 30 days of the chosen fragrances. They are perfect for people who like to change up the way they smell, without needing to fork out hundreds of pounds for a full size perfume bottle that they may tire of wearing after a month or two. This way, you can try new brands, rate them and then next month try a new perfume all over again. It’s a great way to try many different designers.

You get free shipping and can cancel anytime. Choose between men’s or women’s perfumes. Secret Scent Box is all about discovering something new in the world of fragrances.
By signing up for their newsletter you will get 10% off your first box.
Overall I think Secret Scent Box is a wonderful way to try out designer fragrances without spending tons of money on full sized products. The convenience of the box coming through your letterbox each month, with the 3 x 3ml atomisers that are the perfect size for both travel and handbags is a bonus too. I think the cards that depict the notes of each fragrance is really interesting as well, I often notice that I’m drawn to some notes with various fragrances I like. I never would have known this without Secret Scent Box’s attention to detail by providing the cards for each designer scent.
I would rate my overall experience with Secret Scent Box a 5✩
Thank you for reading this blog post today, I hope you have enjoyed reading all about my experience with Secret Scent Box.
I hope to see you here again soon for another of my reviews.
Earlier this year I made the decision to buy myself a Vax Spotwash Home and Pet tool device. I had seen adverts for probably a year and finally concluded I needed one in my busy home. With Cats and Children at home it can mean a lot of mess sometimes and I wanted something that would make cleaning easier and better than me being on my hands and knees scrubbing stains.
In my bundle from Vax that I purchased I got the Vax Spotwash Home and Pet Design. They included the Spotwasher liquid and the Pet Stain and Odour Remover liquid. I was also treated to a set of sprays included in this bundle, the Vax Stain Removal Kit, which were called Stainshot Sprays. I have an Antibacterial, an Original and an Oxy Lift. They come in Spring Fresh scent which I found pleasing and not an overpowering smell. I also got a Car Cleaning Kit but I haven’t needed to use that yet.
What I received
Vax Spotwash Machine for Home Pet and Car Vax Spotwash Solution Vax Antibacterial Solution 1.5L Car Kit (Free) Stainshot Sprays Kit 3 x 750ml 6 Tools for different jobs
Testing the Vax
I had a 3 month old stain on my grey rug that I couldn’t shift with supermarket products. It was orange and yellow, from Cat Vomit unfortunately, and although the rug was clean and I cleaned it regularly hoping it would fade, the stain remained and looked awful to me. So I decided to test if the Vax Spotwash could remove this stain for me, at least fade it somewhat.
I chose to spray the stain with the Oxy Lift Stainshot Spray, because I felt the bubble action would benefit lifting the stain. Inside the Vax Spotwash I used the Vax Cleaning Solution which is Antibacterial and warm water as described in the instructions. Using the scrub tool as the attachment because of its bristles, I hoped to lift and scrub out the stain along with the solution and spray working in tandem.
The device was easy to use and I could see the results as I scrubbed away with the tool. It did take some elbow grease but the device did do a lot of the work for me. I love how I could see the moisture being dragged and sucked back into the machine as I used the tool and hose across the rug when I was done scrubbing. The rug was left smelling great, the stain was 90% faded away and the fibres were definitely clean. I decided to hang the rug outside to dry fully in fresh air, because despite the tools suction being very efficient it wasn’t dry enough to be left on my wooden floors (beneath the rug). Once it had fully dried I could see the extent to which the Vax Spotwash had worked on the stain. It was 95% faded once the sunlight and air had gotten to the fibres.
Overall I would say I’m ecstatic with the results, because the stain was not fresh it was embedded in the rug fibres. I have other rugs that I’m planning to clean up in the exact same way, from cat vomit and food stains such as coffee drips. And I can say with some positivity that the stains are likely to be removed or at least faded to a point where they are no longer noticeable. The fact that the Vax Spotwash also cleans in general to such a high standard makes it such a wonderful tool to have in my home, for both convenience and hygiene reasons.
Cleaning the machine after I was done was a little tricky on the first ever go. Mainly because of working out how to empty and clean all the components effectively. I was surprised as well just how heavy the machine was, and obviously that increased once the fluids were in both the clean and the dirty tanks. At the end of the day you have to think of a small hoover weight, plus the tank of liquid, then you’ll get a rough estimate in your mind. The Vax Spotwash weighs approximately 4.5kg when empty, more when solutions and water and tools are added.
Would I recommend it? Is it worth the hype?
For the price that I paid, which was £129.99 (delivered free) due to an offer. And it came with the free stain removal spray kit, I believe the machine and it’s accessories are good value for money. As for being worth the hype it has certainly worked for me and for what I wanted it for. General cleaning of rugs and upholstery that cannot go into a washing machine, and to remove or fade stains that are integrated into said fabrics. It definitely worked for me and left everything I have used it on looking, feeling and smelling clean.
Yes there are cheaper brands out there, but having done a little research before purchasing my Vax, you don’t get as many accessories, tools, and cleaning solutions with other brands which you would then need to purchase or buy supermarket alternatives to use with the device you have bought. I have used my vax and still have enough solutions to last maybe a year or two at least, because you measure out what you need at the time of filling the device, so nothing is wasted.
Sabrina’s Product Review Scores
Product Quality 5✩ Product Design 4✩ Packaging 4✩ Value for Money 5✩ Product as Advertised 5✩
I have scored the Product Design as a 4 and the Packaging as a 4 too. Although they claim the machine is compact, I found the pipe really hard to wrap around the machine once it had been used a few times and stretched out. I don’t have a cupboard large enough for it to go into either. There were also no instructions in my box regarding the disassembly and the changing of tools, I had to figure it all out on my own, including the cleaning of the machine, despite it having a few labels on my device itself it wasn’t always clear what to do. I would have loved to have seen some clear instructions.
Overall I do rate this purchase, I feel it is worth the money. And with my latest family addition on the way I’m sure I will get more use out of it very soon too.

Thank you for visiting Severn Wishes Blog today, I hope you have enjoyed what you’ve read and that I see you again soon. Have a great day.
Well here we are, halfway through April and I apologise that my product review is later than usual. Having done my video unboxing when I initially received my Treatbox in the post I was then busy with the Easter holidays and spending some much needed family time. But having this extra time before writing my review also gave me a chance however, to look at this months products in more detail.
April was a lovely Bee themed and happiness inspiring box for me. Loved it! Let’s take a look now and remind ourselves what was inside it, I am sharing my honest opinions as always and all the photography is my own.
What was inside the April box?
Bee Themed! April Calendar Print Treatbox Original Bee Pin Treatbox Original Printed Notepad Busy Bee A6 Treatbox Original Socks Bees and Hearts in honey beige Treatbox Original A6 Print “she turned her can’t into cans & her dreams into plans” Lapcos Honey Nourishing and Hydrating Face Mask 27ml Tasty Mates Salted Caramel Sweets GF Vegan 54g Bee Gold Plated Earrings with Crystal Wings
My Honest Opinion
I loved the theme this month, when you think of April you imagine rain showers or April flowers, but a Bee is a cute idea and I think of nature in abundance when I consider Bees, plus, who doesn’t love a cute little Bee?! The Bee and Honey theme was well executed throughout and I love how the Treatbox original products coordinated with each other as well.
Overall the quality of the products was excellent, we know our notepads and other Treatbox original stationery is printed to the highest quality, as are the TB original socks. I have yet to try the sweets or the face mask but that’s because I’ve had a really busy few weeks on Easter break. I have put the Bee pin on my jacket and the notepad is out on my table ready for my next list. I did find the font a little hard to read on the Print this month but perhaps I’m being picky. Did you read it okay? I will be sharing more pictures on Instagram of the products in use very soon.
My favourite items for April 2023 have been the notepad, socks, pin and earrings. I don’t usually wear jewellery in gold due to my skin complexion, however these earrings are stunning and far too nice to give away, so I hope to pair them with an outfit matching their calibre soon. Watch out for updates on my social media on all of the items you have seen revealed today.
What is your favourite item in this April box? Here are some more of my photographs.

My Opinion on this Box
Well there we have it, that was the final Treatbox UK Reveal and Review of 2022! It’s been a great box, one with a nice overall theme of Christmas and of Stars.
The items that I have liked the most this box have been the Hanging Decoration, the Socks, the Bath Bombs and the Lip Balm. I also love the Wrapping Paper because it is a sustainable paper item that can be recycled after use, or re-used for crafting. The assortment of products this month has been well considered and I really like the mix of self care and treats. My only wish would have been for an edible treat too like a tiny chocolate Santa!
We have something to drink, something to wear, something to put on our Christmas tree, something to keep track of the month, something seasonal to display and something to help us gift to others this festive season. Overall I really enjoyed unboxing this!
I will let you know on my social media when I get around to trying the hot chocolate and the bath bombs so watch out for those, I’m looking forward to some self care the other side of Christmas when I’m a little less busy!Today I am wearing last years Treatbox Christmas socks, it will be these lovely new Reindeer socks turn tomorrow!
Wishing all who read this a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too! Thank you for reading my Reveal and Review today.

My Honest Opinion on the Box
One thing that I really enjoyed this month was how consistent the theme was throughout. I always love the thought that goes into the Treatbox original items, and the quality is usually excellent as well. This box contents was no exception, with the beautifully designed set of cards as well as the bookmark, I believe these along with the coaster are my favourite items for this month’s box.
So what else do we have left, there is the something to eat and drink, and the satin eye mask to wear which is nice for our bit of indulgent self care on an evening. Love it! There is also the enamel pin which are always really lovely. I need to start attaching my pins to an old t-shirt and put them on to a cuddly toy or something like that! A tee of positivity! See what I did there?
Finally we have the lovely Moon Calendar print which is unusual and something not seen before in Treatbox. I really liked this, it won’t interest all people but for me it’s always nice to look and see when the full moon will be.
Overall this is a really lovely box, definitely in my top 5 this year I think. I cannot wait to start using my bookmark and I’m going to tuck into that popcorn soon. I’ve sadly come down with a cold and sore throat this week, so I don’t want to open it and know I won’t be able to enjoy it to its full potential! So watch out on my socials and I will let you know on there what I think!
Thanks for listening to my views today!

Here are more of my pictures… (leaves and pumpkins were not included in the box)
What’s my honest opinion for this month?
When I first opened this box and took a peek inside I just knew I was going to love it. I also appreciate just how hard it must be to keep regular subscribers like myself, happy, due to them not wanting to constantly repeat certain items. But this month Zoe and her Treatbox team have really out-done themselves! Where do I start?! Let’s go with my favourite item, and it has to be the socks! I’m someone who has continually said I love the socks that come in Treatbox, but this time they are extra special due to them having Treatbox sewn into the design along the base. Autumnal themed and beautiful as well makes all the difference too. Following on from the socks to receive a brand new item is excellent, the Jade Gua Sha is a face relaxing tool to help aid the skin and blood flow. We haven’t had anything of this sort before and I cannot wait to give this a go over the coming weekend. The usual Calendar Print and the A5 Print are lovely again this month, I like to rotate my prints around my home and I just put up the ones from the last three years of Autumn Treatboxes! I must get a photo of them all together for my social media to show you! We also have a make-able item this month which I love! Crafting our own little Pumpkin! Yay! It’s not the first time we’ve seen Make Arcade and Treatbox collaborate however it’s the first Spooky Craft Kit we’ve had, and every kit has so far been unique and unusual and I love that! We get to make something and keep it and by making it our own it becomes personal too!Watch out on my socials because I will update you when I do this Craft kit!
What’s next? Oh yes, the huge bag of 54% cocoa chocolate! Which can be enjoyed eaten, drunk or melted. And you can even enjoy it with your Biscuit! Mine was a little Ghost and he’s so cute! Despite being smashed up in the post he will be enjoyed over the weekend too! Finally we have the Ruth Jones mini book which is a first look chapter of an up and coming new story she’s done. Ideal to pop into your handbag if you know you’re going to be sat in a waiting room at any point this month.
Overall I think this has been one of my favourite boxes of this year so far. We have got something to eat, something to make into a drink, something to do, an item to read and something to create, an item to display and an item to wear. Plus an item which could be seen as our new self care. All of which when combined make an all rounded box or treats and will make October better for having them. With the autumn and Halloween themes combined with general luxury treats it’s a lovely box this month.
Thank you for joining me for another Reveal and Review from me, Severn Sabrina! I loved this box it was fantastic!

Wow didn’t December creep up on us! Happy December one and all!
As if I am sat here writing this blog post mid December! I had every intention of doing this post earlier in the month but I have had so much on and so much to do that the days have simply blurred into one
So my apologies for a late post this month, I will try and bring you the unboxing for January 2022 within the first week of the month!
What was Inside the December 2021 Box
December Calendar Print Treatbox Wrapping Paper – 3 Unique Sheets Treatbox Scratch Off Self-Care Advent Card Two Wooden Snowflake Christmas Decorations Sensory Retreats Divine Eyes Eye Mask – Self Heating Treatbox Originals Christmas Daily Planner Notepad Treatbox Christmas Coaster “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” Tasty Treat of a Snowflake Biscuit Mrs L Cosy Nights Wax Melts Lindt Chocolate Teddy Bear
My Thoughts on the December Box
What a fantastic box! I really loved the contents of this month, from the wooden decorations to the organisation notepad and the fabulous TreatboxUK original wrapping paper! You can tell a lot of thought went into the preparation of this month’s box.The self care card was also pretty cool, although I kept forgetting to scratch it off and then would do two in the same day! Oops!
Overall I feel like this is a strong box, even those who don’t love this time of year would find it hard not to like the contents. Who doesn’t love a beautiful wooden snowflake or a tasty biscuit treat? I know I do! My favourite items are the decorations and the coaster. The quality of every single item in the box this month has been excellent. A great way to end the year of boxes and end TreatboxUK 2021 boxes on a high! I loved photographing this box and couldn’t decide which pictures to include in my Reveal so I chose them all! Enjoy! Have a great Christmas!
Wishing all who read this a happy and healthy end to the year. Thank you for reading this unboxing post and I hope Severn Wishes Blog has kept you entertained throughout the year. Please stick with us for 2022 because there are lots of exciting things coming up in the Spring time!
✩ My Opinion of the May Box Contents ✩ What I really liked this time around were the themed products and how most of them were handbag size. Most were Vegan and Cruelty Free as well. I am looking forward to enjoying the honeycomb chocolate on a day that my son is away (as it contains dairy and he has allergies). And the Wax Melts smell lovely! They are currently making my lounge smell beautiful without even the need to melt them, it smells so strong through the packaging and such a Spring like scent!
The bag is so cool! Cannot believe you’re now doing things like this in house at Treatbox HQ! They look amazing! The hand cream is lovely and smells nice.
Love the Bee theme! The Print and the Cards are all lovely and very well appreciated during this difficult time. It’s nice to get little reminders to look after yourself. As a single mum some days I might not get another adult conversation and I am often busy and tired. Treatbox is a little pick me up which contains even more little bits and bobs to remind me that “I’m Amazing” – so thanks Treatbox!

Thank you for joining me while I Review and Reveal this May Treatbox! If you liked it why not check out my other reviews too!Have a great remainder of May!
Sometimes we are all guilty of spending too much time on technology, and now that the weather is improving we should all be putting down our TV remotes and phones and getting outside! (I know that you’re thinking about doing that now, as you read this blog post on a piece of tech, but please bare with me as I have some great activities you’ll want to be inspired by I’m sure!)
So where to begin! If you’re not naturally adventurous for the great outdoors it can seem a bit overwhelming! So how about we just start small! I have come up with a range of things to suit everyone, outdoorsy types and not so much! All you need to do is choose one of these to do each day during the school break or even at the Easter weekend and voila you have some outdoor fun, nature related or outdoor activity to enjoy!
Here are my 15 “Things We Can Do” of Fun Ideas to do Indoors and Outdoors…Weather Dependent!
🥚 Use Nature in a Painting – Use sticks or leaves to paint with! 🥚Spot a Bird of Prey – Look up and see what is flying above your head! 🥚Find Some Minibeasts and Draw Them from Memory – Bugs can be colourful and interesting! 🥚Take a Walk in 4 Different Types of Weather – No matter what the weather it can be fun to take a walk!
🥚 Go For a Walk and Find Some Puddles to Jump in – Who doesn’t like jumping in a puddle! Wear wellies!
🥚 Have a Musical Morning, Listening or Playing – Music can help you relax!
🥚 Do Some Finger Painting – Draw the trunk of a tree and make the leaves with your fingers! 🥚Play Eye-Spy on a Family Walk – Eye Spy is great for a range of ages! 🥚Do a Jigsaw on a Rainy Day – Jigsaws can be a fun family activity on a rainy day or a board game!
🥚 Build a Den or Fort Together – Who doesn’t love building a den! Cushions and Throws work well!
🥚 Draw and then Colour in something you’ve seen in Nature on your Walk, a Rainbow, Tree, Flower etc
🥚 Design your own Dream Car or Dream House (for older children to imagine)
🥚 Create Post for a Loved One and Walk to a Post Box to Send it – Draw a Picture or Write a Letter
🥚 Have an Afternoon of MESS with Messy Play or Fun with Paint or Food items – Paint and Rice Crispies…
🥚 Read More! Read as a Family, decide on what your Favourite Book is and why – Books help you learn!
🥚 Nature Hunter Gatherers – Collect some things from in your local area to look at when you get home such as leaves and pinecones, things that have fallen from trees and bushes. Don’t deliberately destroy nature though! Fallen Leaves are great, discover what tree they come from by looking at the shape!
The image above is from when my son and I did a day of Nature Hunter Gatherers. It was a lovely warm day and we spent six hours outside having fun, games and walking. This activity is great for learning about where things come from such as pinecones and feathers. Make sure you do this on a dry day. We took a long walk through our village and picked up things that we found on the ground. Leave them somewhere cool and dry for a few days to dry out and make sure there are no creatures living in them before you handle them again!
I highly recommend getting some coloured trays like these, they were only £3 for a pack of 3 from The Works. Perfect for both Art and Craft and collecting things too!
✩✩✩
Picking Up Litter
If your children are a little older than mine you might want to pop gloves on when you go on your walk, take a plastic bag with you, and do a litter picking up hour in your local village or town. This helps the environment and the animals and birds in your area from getting injured.
🥚 Easter Ideas 🥚
You could also do Easter themed Drawings, Colouring In and Games such as an Easter Egg Hunt in your house or garden this weekend.
Check out my previous Easter blog posts for Art and Craft ideas and Baking fun… Here…
Thank you for reading this blog post today! I hope that I have inspired you to do at least one of these activities with your own family. Let me know in the comments section or on my social media if you get up to anything fun in the next few weeks!
Welcome to the March 2021 Treatbox UK unboxing Reveal and my Review of the contents inside the box. This box month always coincides with my birthday, so it’s like an extra little present to myself! And funnily enough it felt even more like my birthday when I opened it thanks to two items inside…
… a blank Happy Birthday card and a key ring! (I have collected Keyrings since I was a child)!
Happy Birthday to me! And here is what else was inside this great box!
✩What Was In The March 2021 Box?✩
Treatbox A5 Print “You Got This” Treatbox Cards x 3 “Happy Birthday”, “Keep Going” & “You Are Amazing” Treatbox Rainbow Design Weekly Planner Pad “Pretty Things” Keepsake Dish Bubble t Cleansing Hand Sanitiser “Confetea Edition” 50ml Jealous Sweets Love Bears Sugar Free Vegan Sweets 40g “Good Vibes” Rainbow Key Ring
9 items in total.
✩My Opinion of the March Box Contents ✩
What I really liked inside this box was… all of it! 😀 From the Rainbow theme to the positive vibes! I thought the Keepsake Dish is of excellent quality, and the key ring is lovely too. Sanitiser is something that we all need a lot of at the moment and it is great to have a pretty pink one that smells amazing, that is a bonus! What fun!
The A5 print and the cards are positive orientated and I love that we can pass the positive vibes on to other people from our joy in receiving the Treatbox UK March box! I cannot wait to try those Vegan Sweets and I saw they have a long use by date so no rush in nibbling them all up! Yay!
But my favourite item by far has to be the Weekly Planner! I love how much design Zoe and the team have managed to incorporate into it! Drinking Water, Days of the Week, Goals, Priorities and Don’t Forgets! It is now so much faster to plan my week than my old planner where I had to use a ruler to section parts of the day out for my To Do’s and Goals! Now I just pop them all on this one page! I LOVE IT!
Thanks so much for an awesome item! I would love to see another one with a different border in a few months time, because I will be using this weekly from now on 😉A great box I am very happy!
