February 2022 Treatbox Reveal and Review

Hello! Welcome to my Reveal and Review of the Treatbox UK February 2022 box!

As we all know the month of February is significant for Valentine’s Day, so I was expecting there to be a love or at least a heart theme this box. Zoe strives to make her Treatboxes about self care, self love and being kind to ourselves, so I feel this box might be poignant in that way too.

Shall we see what is inside?

What was inside the box?

As I open the box my eyes are met with a dark pink tissue paper, a chocolate heart has made its way out of the paper (cheeky!) during transit! The sticker reads “sealed with a hug” Aw thanks! And the February Calendar Print sits on top…

Treatbox February 2022 Calendar Print
Treatbox Original Tote Bag “Self Love Club”
Treatbox Original Keyring “Love Myself”
Bottle of bubble t Body Lotion in Peach
Heart Chocolate
Pair of Heart Socks
Treatbox Original Stickers Sheet
Treatbox Inspirational Card “Love Yourself Instead of…”
“You Are Limited Edition” Heart Biscuit

My Honest Opinion of the February 2022 box

I adore getting these socks! I never get tired of a new design because the quality is excellent, they wash and wear very well, and of course it would be hearts this month. A tasty delightful little chocolate and the heart shaped biscuit make up our edible treats this month, tasty!
I’m a big believer in less plastic and more reusable items so to see a tote bag this month is excellent.
A sweet key ring and a card that we can either choose to keep or to send on is a lovely gesture.
We of course have the calendar print which is useful, I have started to pin mine to my fridge door and write my evening meal plans on it.
Finally we have the original Treatbox sticker sheet which is super fun! And the bubble t body lotion which smells really nice.
I look forward to using or eating all of these fab items! Keep an eye on my Instagram to see regular Treatbox products in use!

Thank you for reading this Reveal post today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing what was inside.

Please pop by in early March to see the next Reveal and Review I do of Treatbox UK!

Have a lovely month and I hope I see you back here again soon.

November 2021 Treatbox UK Reveal and Review

The time has quickly come around and here we are again with the start of a new month, meaning of course a new Treatbox Reveal and Review. The November Treatbox was a well thought out themed box with some new items never before seen in Treatbox! How exciting! Let’s see what was inside…

What was inside the box for November 2021?

Blue Star and Moon Socks
Two Star Hair Clips in an Organza Bag
Treatbox Original Hot Chocolate Recipe Card
Two Bags of Clipper Natural “Snore and Peace” Infusion Tea
Vitamasques Morning Goggle Eye Mask to Brighten and Protect
Gardner’s “Keep Smiling” Vegan Blue Iced Star Biscuit

Treatbox UK November Calendar Print

My Opinion on the November 2021 Treatbox

I first want to say how much I loved the theme of this box, moons and stars, was really lovely!

The items were all of great quality, nice to see some Vegan friendly pieces and things we had never had before in a Treatbox! I am someone who loves to wear socks so I always enjoy getting new ones. I look forward to eating the Vegan biscuit and enjoying a cup of tea. I will also try the hot chocolate but I will make mine with dairy free milk 😉

The hair clips are very pretty and a nice treat to brighten your hair. I’m going to try the mask tonight in fact! I haven’t yet used the bag for anything but it is ideal for makeup or handbags.

Thank you for reading this Treatbox UK unboxing post, I hope you enjoyed it. I cannot quite believe that the next box will be the December / Christmas box and the last one of 2021!

Wishing all who read this a happy and healthy November!

October 2021 Treatbox Reveal and Review

Hello October!

Wow hasn’t Autumn most definitely arrived? It’s gotten so much cooler and wetter this week and I have already dug out my fleece throws and pumpkin Autumn décor! I thought I would share some of my favourite décor items at times during my unboxing photoshoot, starting with the Calendar Print just to help get you in the mood for this completely Autumnal October 2021 Treatbox!

Mini Pumpkins!

There is a strong Pumpkin Spice smell emanating from inside the box as I begin to open the plastic wrapping… Pumpkin Spice and All Things Autumnal and Nice!

What Was In The Box?

October 2021 Calendar Print

Autumn Essentials Card
Memory Lane Home Pumpkin Spice Wax Melts
Grey Scarf with Silver Glittery Pattern
Joe & Seph’s Vegan Toffee Apple & Cinnamon Gourmet Popcorn
Olee Cosmetics Pumpkin Spice Whipped Soap
Notepad for Indecisive Moments “Pros and Cons” Treatbox Original Pad
Rose Gold and Glitter Pen

Let us take a closer look at the items now…

What Do I Think Of This October 2021 Box?

My honest opinion is that if someone likes Pumpkin Spice they will adore this box! I’m not a lover or a hater of this smell, it’s nice for Autumn but not the rest of the year. I will be using the smelling items like the Wax Melts just to bring a scent to the items in my Autumn display. I look forward to munching on that delicious popcorn over the coming weekend! The soap looks and smells lovely and was a pleasure to test.

The wow items for me are the Scarf, beautiful and soft and it goes with so many things due to its neutral grey colour. The pen is fabulous, and from time to time we will all come across decisions where we can way up the pro’s and con’s, so the notepad is a fun and useful item for us all to keep for when those situations do arise.

The autumn essentials card is nice, but I would have rather had an Autumnal Treatbox Original print that I could have framed, or a picture that I could have coloured in like the one inside the September Treatbox, that was a lovely idea.

Overall I think the majority of people will adore this box, it is very autumn inspired and pumpkin spice most definitely rules. It hasn’t been my favourite box of the year, it was an average one for me. The Scarf is my favourite piece this box!

Thank you for reading this Treatbox unboxing post today, I really hope you enjoyed it, and perhaps you have been inspired by my décor to put some up in your own home too!

Wishing you a happy and healthy remainder of October!

The Three Additions To Your Wardrobe You Never Realised You Needed, Until Now! Since I Bought Mine I Cannot Do Without Them!

Sabrina’s “How To Get More Space In Your Wardrobe” Post.

Most of us have far too many of something in our homes, be it clothing, shoes, bags or other items that take up space. Usually hidden away in our wardrobes or cupboards… Personally I am a Boots and Dresses kind of woman! And why shouldn’t I be able to enjoy my nice items. After all, I worked hard for them… So if you’re like me and you haven’t had the pleasure of knowing any of these items in your home as yet, then check out the rest of my post below. One of these might just change your life!

Shoe Storage – Stackable Boxes with Mesh Fronts

I first bought these boxes when I was in university, so I could stack up my shoes against a wall. When you live out of one room space is definitely key! They were fabulous! Especially because I could fit a double shoe of anything flat into one box due to my little size 4 feet! Fast forward to the 32 year old me (covers eyes with hands) and I still use these, but now they go in the space underneath my ottoman bed. Out of sight but also neatly packed away. I even bought three different colours so I knew that Purple contained Boots, Teal contained flats and Black contained Shoes…

(Coloured ones are usually only available in store and do change every year). I love being organised! And I love tidy!

These boxes are wonderful! Mesh fronts allow the footwear to breathe, they have Velcro sides on the front panel for easy removal and they can even be stored flat when not in use. So many reasons to love them! Place them under beds, inside cupboards or wardrobes, the possibilities are endless. I have even stacked up to 6 boxes on top of one another with light shoes inside, they are sturdy too.

I bought mine from Ikea, they still do them. Currently you can get Grey or White, a set of 4 costs just £7. What a bargain! They measure 22cm x 34cm x 16cm, so it is worth measuring your footwear before purchasing. I think they are a great space saving alternative, especially because it stops you having shoes stacked up all over your hallway.

I do tend to wipe the bottoms of my shoes and let them dry fully especially if they were wet after use, before putting them away again inside the boxes. If you have a little space somewhere that you could convert to a shoe area these are definitely worth considering.

Wardrobe Storage Options

As someone who has quite a number of lightweight clothing items, I found that my wardrobe was quickly filling up every time I caught up on my washing. I began researching ways in which I could maximise my space.

There were two options I could use, the first were Hanger Space Saving Bars (aka Hanger Heroes or Magic Hangers) and the second were Coat Hanger Connectors. I decided to try both, I begun with the Connectors and then bought the Bars, and it has more than doubled my wardrobe space. You must make sure your wardrobe rail is suitable for additional weight though before buying these items.

Coat Hanger Connectors are wonderful small pieces of strong plastic, you slide the one end (the loop) on to the top of a hanger and the longer section hangs down so you can push a second coat hanger through it. I used them for lightweight t-shirts and cardigans. I have managed to hang 6 items in a vertical row, long term, and none of them have broken as yet.

Depending upon the height or your wardrobe or your freestanding pole, you can figure out what would work for you. They are ideal for lightweight t-shirts and shirts and can save you lots of space. They range in price from around £4 for a bunch of 20 of them.

The final items that I want to review are the wardrobe bars, or hanger heroes as they are also known as. You can purchase these on Amazon and from Must Have Ideas. I have bought from both companies, and they were both of equally strong metal and good quality materials. These range in price but you can get metal ones for around £12 and upwards for 6 or more.

I kept seeing these advertised and I really needed the extra room when I moved house. I went from built in wardrobes to zero wardrobes! Having borrowed a metal freestanding pole and rail from a family friend, until I can go wardrobe hunting! I found that these worked really well to give me much needed space!

Depending upon the weight of your clothes you can fit a minimum of 8 items per hanging bar. I have found I can place 14 lightweight items on one, including using the thinnest and most lightweight plastic hangers that I own too. As you can see in my images I have tried to use thin hangers and ensure I don’t place heavy items on the bars.

Once your bars are filled you gently remove one hook and lowed one side down. When the bars were all flat along the metal rail I had no space remaining for other clothes. When I have released one side of each bar, as you can see below, it has freed up a huge amount of much needed space.

I have no idea how I ever managed without these amazing inventions! I am so much more organised now too! I have long sleeve tops on one bar, short sleeve tops on another, cardigans and thin jumpers on a third one, the list goes on! You get the gist!

Obviously you need to judge how much weight your own wardrobe could take. I would be tempted to reinforce my wardrobe honestly if it were a plastic pole.

In this image below you can see my 6 bars in a row. The only irritating thing is that if you place more than 6 items on it, sometimes the hangers slip down out of the notches into the ones below. I think that’s because of the weight and angle that they are at with the more you put on. My suggestions are to play around with the weight and with what hangers fit on best. The far left are rubber coated metal hangers and the rest of them are thin lightweight plastic ones.

I give every item I have mentioned in this blog post a 5 star rating, they have allowed me to live a more organised life and make my bedroom tidier too. I think it’s important that the space that we sleep in isn’t too cluttered. I am working on trying to get myself some furniture in order to make that a reality. Until I am finished with my renovations though, these pieces will help me to keep at least some areas of it tidy!

Thank you for reading this Review today, I hope you have found this post interesting. If you would like to ask me any questions about the items I will do my best to answer them for you. Until the next time, thank you for reading and see you on my website again soon!

Dorothy Perkins Latest Purchases June 2020 Reviews

All this lovely warm weather had me realise that I barely owned anything short sleeved, that I was still able to breastfeed comfortably in. So I checked out the Dorothy Perkins 70% off sale that was on during June and into July.

I found myself two beautiful shirts, along with a linen shirt dress with pretty wooden buttons. I also grabbed a pair of my favourite Black Eden Jeggings too, mainly because I wore out two old ones this Summer that I purchased about six years ago.

I will show you pictures of me wearing each one of the shirts and then the product on its own too. If you have a question about an item please comment below and I will do my best to answer them.

Product: White Tie Front Shirt
Price: £12.80 (Correct as of 18th July)
Size: I am wearing a Size 8. I found the item to be True to Size, I liked how it looked on, perfect around both my neck and my shoulders.
Details: This beautiful shirt is sleeveless and features white and cream floral patterns across the length of the materiel. It is a button shirt and a tie front at the bottom. The collar is a lovely feature and makes the shirt look and feel smart and sophisticated. The floral design made me feel feminine and the material is soft. You could easily wear this to work all day and then dress it up with a pair of heels and some black trousers for the evening.
Materials: 50% Polyester and 50% Viscose.
My Score: 5/5

Product: Khaki Shirt Dress with Linen
Price: £20.80 (Correct as of 18th July)
Size: I am wearing a Size 8. I found the item to be True to Size and it fitted my figure really well. It was great for my chest which isn’t large, but if you are blessed with an ample bosom I wouldn’t recommend this style for you.
Details: This beautiful shirt has short sleeves, beautiful wooden buttons and a long material tie waist belt, that matches the linen used for the dress itself. Overall it has some lovely features such as buttons on the shoulders, half length sleeves and it even has two good sized pockets! Overall a beautiful item that washed and wore very well. Ideal for Spring or Autumn, or a cool Summers Day in the shade. Sophisticated enough to dress up for an evening with heels and some shiny accessories.
Material: 84% Cotton 16% Linen
My Score: 5/5
Link to Product: Dorothy Perkins

Product: Grey Check Short Sleeve Shirt
Price: £19.80 (Correct as of 19th July)
Size: I found this shirt incredibly flattering. I am wearing a Size 8. I found the item to be True to Size. It was nice to have something figure hugging but because I was able to undo the buttons to suit me, it felt more like a summer cropped shirt than it did just a short sleeve shirt.
Details: This beautiful shirt is right on trend with its Check pattern design and the Tie Front. Perfect for a warm Summers Day and great paired with jeans, shorts or a pretty skirt. Keep the other clothing neutral so as to show off the shirt as your main focus, or you could choose to pair it with a contrasting pattern such as a polka dot skirt. For a shirt made of Viscose and not cotton, it washed and wore well. I would happily purchase the other version!
Material: 100% Viscose
My Score: 5/5
Link to Product: Dorothy Perkins

Product: Black Eden Jegging With Organic Cotton
Price: £14.40 (Correct as of 20th July)
Size: I am currently wearing a Size 6 Short but I can fit comfortably into a 6 or an 8 Eden because they have a slightly stretchy material. They usually fit me very well around my hips, waist and thighs. I would recommend you try on two sizes and see which you prefer when they are on you.
Details: Some Jeggings are a firm material but these Dorothy Perkins Eden Jeggings are always soft. I love them in black because they go with everything and anything. A few years ago they removed the belt loops, but this year they added them back on to the designs and also improved the shape and the back pockets. DP also chose to use Organic Cotton for this particular Eden and they are soft, comfortable and they wash well too. I love them, they are back to being a 5 star item for me. Good Old Brand New Edens!
Materials: 76% Cotton, 22% Polyester and 2% Elastane.
My Score: 5/5

The White Shirt with No Sleeves and a Tie Front has a beautiful floral pattern.

Thank you for reading this review today, I hope that you’ve enjoyed it.

I have been able to wash and wear every item shown in this review, and most importantly, I breastfed my son wearing them too. I highly recommend the quality of clothing at Dorothy Perkins.

April 2020 Treatbox Reveal

Hello! Happy April to you!
Thank you for visiting Severn Wishes and reading the April 2020 Treatbox UK Reveal and Review with me, Sabrina.

It’s Spring Time! It’s also Isolation Lockdown in the UK! I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the NHS, the other Key Workers such as Supermarket Staff, Delivery Drivers, the Post Force, and those who create Subscription services like Zoe and her team at Treatbox UK! They are keeping spirits high and are making us a bit happier in this dark situation, by making sure we get our post! Thank you!

The theme of this month’s box is “Time To Bloom” all ready for Spring.

The pink tissue paper wrapped around our April gifts this month has a sticker that reads “Keep Going” which is so appropriate with everything going on right now.

What’s actually inside this month’s box then?

Treatbox “You Are Enough” Drinks Coaster
Packet of Seeds “Keep Going Keep Growing”

Treatbox “It’s Your Time To Bloom” Special Positivity Diary

April 2020 Treatbox UK Reveal

My Honest Opinion on the Contents of the month’s box

Overall I am very happy with the April 2020 box. I love the Print, the Coaster and the Positivity Diary most. The floral design throughout really made me happy when I saw it, very pretty and representing Spring in a beautiful and colourful way.

Something like this diary will bring me a lot of joy to complete. And I plan on keeping it once it is full and then look back on it in years to come. This virus will be a turning point in some many peoples lives, and documenting what it was like will be interesting to show my children or even my grand children one day (hopefully!).

Socks are always nice to receive I think, and getting a pretty item is a bonus. I like that the edible item is British made in Shropshire from Eggs from this county, and considering it was the county I was born in, I like it even better!

I really needed to hear this quote this week, a great addition to my collection of coasters from Treatbox over the years! I think this has been my favourite so far!

February 2020 Treatbox Reveal

Hello Treatbox Fans!
It’s time for the February 2020 Treatbox Reveal and Review!

Greeted by baby pink paper and a sticker that reads “Awesome People’s Club” the February treatbox smells nice as I open it up…

The first thing I notice is the scarf, wow it’s beautiful! It has instantly become my favourite item inside this month’s box. I look forward to wearing it.

White Scarf with Triangular Pattern Details
“Dream Big” Long Cosmetics Bag / Pencil Case
“Don’t Worry if Today Feels a Little Grey” Treatbox Card
Self Care Print A5
Korean Beauty Mask – Purifying Pink Clay Sheet Mask
Whitworth’s Shots – Berry and White Chocolate – Healthy Snack
Pink Heart Bath Bomb

A Sticker – I think! Will Update! “Beautiful Inside and Out”

My Honest Opinion

Here we are everyone, it’s February! I was looking forward to this box, as it could have literally been anything and the themes aren’t a thing anymore. Knowing it would be self care and making time for yourself is always good, but it’s also different for every person.

I’m very pleased with most of its contents. I especially like the scarf, the case and the shots. The quotes and the quality in these three items are right up my street. The card is also nice and has a good quote to remind us all that grey days do eventually pass. The bath bomb is a nice touch but I honestly don’t have much time to relax in the bath these days! HA!

We do have yet another Korean Beauty, which I would like to see something else inside the next box, perhaps still beauty but not a mask, maybe a lip balm, a stick on tattoo or even something like jewellery perhaps… the final item I think might be a sticker of some sort, but without the useful calendar and explanation page I can’t tell you what it is! I shall find out from Zoe and update my blog accordingly!

Finally the quote on the A5 print this month hit home to me, we often find ourselves so busy to do self care, I know I do. Some days I do feel I am just giving what is left, and I want the people directly in my life to have the best parts of me.

Overall I have really liked the February box, there have been some nice items and a good improvement on the products inside too.

Summer Outfit Shopping Challenge 2019

Can I buy a Summer outfit for £20 or less including footwear and an accessory?

I set myself a blogging challenge for the start of this summer, get an outfit or a few for a set price, including footwear and an accessory too! What I mean is buying items that can be paired in different ways to create multiple outfits. This post will explain what I bought and why, and I will also review score the items individually as well.

Primark Dolly Shoes

Why I Set Myself A Shopping Challenge

So I had my first ever trip to the Horse Racing for a Hen Weekend in June… I had a great time! I came home with £47 profit and I decided to treat myself with it. As a mum I don’t get to go out much and I certainly don’t spend very much on myself anymore. Until I went on this shopping trip that I’m about to describe to you it had been almost two years since I had been shopping for clothes that weren’t for a special occasion, or Maternity clothes or Breastfeeding Essentials. It was time to browse and get something that I liked or loved and to try something and not feel guilty about it.
Everyone needs a treat once in a while don’t they?!

So I was talking to my best friend about setting myself a challenge that I could explain here on the blog. I concluded that if I popped another £3 on to my winnings I then had £50 to spend. With her opinions on items I picked out I decided to do this challenge, I allocated the money to my two favourite high street stores. I gave £20 for Dorothy Perkins and £30 for Primark.

My Challenge… Could I get an outfit for £20? Yes I could! In fact I got the equivalent of 3 outfits from Primark & 1 from DP! All for £50! Here is how!
By mixing and matching the various items that I bought I was able to make several outfits from them.

While shopping in Primark what I found was a mixture of full price (FP) items and sale items (S). My Dorothy Perkins outfit was complied of all sale items and then I would simply include jeans that I already owned from DP to finish the look, I did not include these in the final price because I already had them.

Primark Yellow Accessories

1. The Summer Shirt Outfit – A Garden BBQ or Day at the Beach – Primark – Worth £20 Total

Wear this shirt with either leggings on a cool day or a pair of shorts. Leave it untucked and long in length or tucked in for two entirely different looks. Pair with Dolly Shoes, Flip Flops or even Boots. You can wear something beneath the shirt if you want to, like this vest.

Blue Striped Summer Shirt £10.00 FP
Black Leggings £4.50 FP
Dolly Shoes in Yellow £3.50 FP
Hair Scunchie Tie £2.00 FP

2. The Practical Outfit – Day Out With Family – Dorothy Perkins – Worth £20 Total

Pair this gorgeous Rust coloured duo with black jeans or black jeggings and some dark accessories for a great transition to Autumn look. If you want to wear this shirt in summer it works great in an evening with jeans and heels too. The pretty buttons and pocket details really make the shirt stand out.

Rust Coloured Shirt S £12.00
Rust Ankle Boots S £8.00

Rust Coloured Duo of Shirt and Boots from DP

3. Every Day Summer Outfit For Home Or Casual Outings – Primark – Worth £21 Total

Who doesn’t love a practical pair of shorts that go well with almost everything? Well this dark green pair look great with a vest, t-shirt or even a short shirt. Pair with various shoes depending on the weather and also where you plan on going to.

Cargo Shorts £12.00 FP
T-Shirt or Vest £3.00 FP
Dolly Shoes £3.50 FP
Hair Scrunchie Tie £2.50 FP

Cargo Shorts with Vest with Yellow Accessories for a Hot Summer Day

4. Hot Weather Day Out or At Home Having Fun In The Garden – Primark – Worth £21.50 Total

Using the shorts once again for this combination but based more casually, dolly shoes for walking about and a vest with a shirt for casual but comfortable wearing.

Cargo Shorts £12.00 FP
Vest £3.00 FP
White Shirt £3.00 S
Dolly Shoes £3.50 FP

Cargo Shorts, White Arrow Shirt with Blue Dolly Shoes

Final Primark Purchases, Prices & Scores – Total Spend of £44.00

Striped Blue Shirt £10.00 –  –  – Score 4/5
Green Cargo Shorts £12.00 –  –  – Score 4/5
Green Vest £3.00 –  –  – Score 4/5
Blue Dolly Shoes £3.50 –  –  – Score 5/5
White Arrows Shirt £3.00 –  –  – Score 3/5
Blue Striped Vest £3.50 –  –  – Score 5/5
Yellow Dolly Shoes £3.50 –  –  – Score 5/5
Hair Band and Scrunchie £2.50 –  –  – Score 5/5
T-Shirt £3.00 –  –  – Score 4/5

Final Dorothy Perkins Purchases, Prices & Scores – Total Spend £20.00

Rust Shirt with Linen £12.00 –  –  – Score 5/5 LINK
Rust Wide Fit ‘Mayfair’ Ankle Boots £8.00 –  –  – Score 5/5 LINK

So I went over my budget very slightly, however the combinations that I have achieved with the clothing and accessories that I bought make it justifiable. Overall the items that I decided to purchase have had added uses because they were either useful, like the shirts I use for breastfeeding during the warmer months, or that the pieces were investments for the next few years (hopefully!) such as all of the shoes.

The previous Dolly Shoes that I bought in Primark were from 2016 and 2017 and they are only just beginning to wear out. I hope these new ones last me just as long! It’s also nice to grab the colours in season when you see them available. A few years ago I had metallic colours from Primark and I never saw them again! I still have a Rose Gold pair I keep for special occasions.

The Boots I got from Dorothy Perkins were an investment for many Autumnal days to come, because at £8 in the sale you cannot beat that kind of a bargain! Especially ones that fit well and are comfortable.

Primark vests are items I wear every single day as a breastfeeding mama bear. So grabbing a couple of these was essential to my shopping trip. (Now that we are currently having a heatwave in the UK I’m even more grateful to have gotten them!).

Primark Items:

Quality of Fabrics 4/5 – The fabric quality was mixed, the vests in Primark are always good, the shorts were thick and strong. The shirts were relatively thin and creased easily. The Shirt is 86% Cotton and 14% Linen.

Designs 4/5 – I thought the items that I chose all had design merits. The shirts were nicely designed with their patterns. The shoes were simply designed by great colours for Summer. I loved the shorts with multiple pockets and the scrunchie hair tie was such a pretty mix of both pattern and colours.

Cost Price 4/5 – Overall I felt most items were affordable for their price and function, the shorts were great quality for their price and the dolly shoes I find are always good quality but very affordable.

Value for Money – 4/5 – I think that Primark items are usually good value for money, some more than others but generally you get what you pay for. I have washed and worn the vests multiple times and they still look good.

Dorothy Perkins Items:

Quality of Items – 5/5 – I was very impressed with the quality of the shirt and the boot that I have purchased. The shirt isn’t thin and is well made, and the shoes look well stitched and are well presented with no marks.

Designs – 5/5 – I love the Rust shade that DP has chosen for some items this Season. Additionally the shirt has a lovely shape to it and is rather flattering when worn. The Boots are comfortable and were available in Wide Fit which is a design bonus. The heels aren’t too high and are wedged to allow comfortable wearing.

Cost Price – 5/5 – I wouldn’t have considered purchasing either of these items unless they had been in the sale already. Their original prices were Boots £35.00 and the Shirt £22. I am very lucky to have gotten them so cheap with a saving of £37.00!

Value for Money – 5/5 – For the amount of money that I have paid for these things I am more than happy to give the value for money spent a 5/5.

Overall I’m very happy with my shopping purchases. It’s also been a couple of weeks now and I have worn the shirts several times, I’ve also worn the vests multiple times and they have been washed and worn repeatedly in this lovely warm weather. I haven’t needed to wear the Dolly Shoes yet but they are an investment for when my current two pairs give up the ghost so to speak! I’m still happy with every piece that I bought, I guess you could say it’s been money well spent! I look forward to wearing the rest of the items over the warm summer weeks…

Here are a couple of images of me wearing some of the new items…

Rust Shirt (Left) & White Arrows Shirt (Right)
Blue Striped Shirt and Yellow Scrunchie Hair Tie

Thank you for reading this blog post today, I hope you’ve enjoyed it. Have you gotten any retail bargains lately? Have a great time if you’re off out for some retail therapy!

Here are some images of the items within this box…

What Did I Like About The June Box?

What I liked the most about this month of Treatbox was that it was a mixture of items, some of which we either haven’t had or haven’t seen for a while.
I’m so glad to see a dairy free edible item, yay for me! It’s well designed and with that positive quote is feel good to!
The lightweight scarf is lovely and I have no doubt that I will be using it around my shoulders throughout the Summer months. I really like the blue stitched detail around its edge.
The plaque is good quality and so is the pin, I do love the positive associations from these items. In fact positivity is spread throughout this entire box of treats.
That butterfly print is also gorgeous! I can’t wait to pop mine inside a frame, I’m a fan of butterflies!

How a simple Cropped Hoodie from BooHoo is changing the way I consider breastfeeding in Public this season

How a simple cropped Hoodie from BooHoo is changing the way I consider breastfeeding in Public this season

It’s not always easy to find comfortable and practical clothing that you can wear in the colder months that’s both suitable for breastfeeding and preventing you from freezing in the process. I’m like many other mum’s out there who consider buying things to help themselves out, are usually last on the list of priorities. However on a recent window shop scroll through the boohoo website I saw something that I knew for me would be a game changer. For £12 boohoo are selling cropped hoodies. This might not sound like anything special, but we’re fast heading into winter now. Considering I’ve been getting cold in cardigans and other loose articles of clothing that won’t get in the way of my son feeding… this was exactly what I had been waiting to find.

Not only has this hoodie allowed me to feed more comfortably, but it’s changed the way I feel about feeding my son around people who are not immediate family. It has given me confidence and hasn’t cost the earth. So many Maternity and Nursing items are highly priced, and at a time when you’re already forking out lots of money, you shouldn’t have to spend a ton on items to simply help you to accomplish what is both natural and a necessity for you and your baby.

The hoodie material is soft and thick, because it’s cropped it means that I can keep my arms inside the fabric, and just simply lift one corner to expose what I require for the feed.

This hoodie is ideal to wear all year round, with shorts and a T-shirt or with jeans and a tee in the colder months.

I’ve found this hoodie to be more than adequate for what I need, it’s both comfortable and practical, and doesn’t cost the earth either!

I highly recommend this style and quality of item from BooHoo and am very happy with the ones I bought.

As you can see me demonstrating in this image above, it’s easy to lift one corner of the hoodie. I normally am able to simply tuck the fabric up underneath and out of the way.
