Is LEGO creating a mess in your house? You need to discover Brick Bagz like I have done

I have been gifted a small Brick Bagz item for the purpose of this product review. Why am I choosing to tell you about them? Because, they are an awesome space saver, they keep every aspect of a LEGO set all in one place AND (if that wasn’t enough to convince you) they are an eco-friendly product too in both creation and packaging! Let me tell you more…

If you have followed me for a while now, be it on my blog or on my social media, you will know that LEGO is a huge part of my family and a main one of our hobbies. LEGO is perfect for a gift, for imaginative play, seasonal building and decorating your home – yes I’m the woman who has built LEGO flowers that I have in real vases! And I love it.

So what happens when your house looks more LEGO than home… the boxes are bulky, the bags cannot be resealed and the pieces end up mixed up too (especially if you have little humans building with them). What can we all do to prevent this? Well you can display all your builds… (who has the space to do that?! Seriously?) OR you can keep some sets built and dismantle the others. But then where do you put all of the bricks? And all of the instruction booklets? Because you will need those again one day. An accumulation of all of the above is bulky, heavy and takes up substantial space whether its in open fabric tubs or if it’s in plastic lidded boxes, or goodness me, back in the open LEGO box it came in which it could very easily fall out of…

Well now I have a solution. Not just for me, but for all of you out there. Brick Bagz are the alternative that most of us LEGO enthusiasts have been waiting for!

What Is A Brick Bagz?

A Brick Bagz is a piece of storage ingenuity designed with parents in mind and created in an eco-friendly way, to tackle the chaos that is LEGO and its building bricks. It is made from sustainable materials and is just as much about caring for our planet – and it’s people, as it is about keeping your LEGO organised.

Brick Bagz come in four sizes and four colours. Available in Red, Yellow, Green and Blue. As well as Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large. To suit all of your LEGO set needs.

Designed for 3 years of age and over to handle, with an easy to use zip bag and a handy see through pocket on the front to house the instruction booklet for your LEGO set.

Brick Bagz are “As tough as your little builder’s imagination, yet gentle on the Earth”.

The small bag in this review is what I have been given, it holds between 100 and 200 bricks of LEGO depending on the size of those pieces. This is perfect for most small boxed LEGO sets. Usually you can look up a LEGO set online to find out how many pieces it contains. Do this before you order any Brick Bagz so you buy the correct size. The lovely team over at Brick Bagz even do bundles too.

An Important Quote from Brick Bagz

Brick Bagz was created from a very simple idea: we wanted to make a practical, durable bag that celebrated something people genuinely love, while also moving away from the disposable, plastic-heavy products that are so common today. We wanted Brick Bagz to be something that could be used again and again, rather than something that would quickly end up being replaced or thrown away.

At the heart of Brick Bagz, the same idea that inspired us in the first place was created to inspire some fun, prove useful and well made so that people can enjoy Lego(r) for years. We want our products to be loved, used and kept, and as we develop the brand, we want to do that in a way that is kinder to the environment and more responsible towards the people involved in making them.’

No more deteriorating LEGO boxes, no more food bags full of LEGO bricks to stop them getting lost, no more plastic tubs with various sets all thrown together in one place. Brick Bagz allow for sets to be kept separate and their instructions booklets safe with the bricks for any future rebuilds. LEGO can be such an incredible hobby, it is filled with fun and imagination. But as parents often find out after purchasing a few hundred pieces, there are not many ways it can be stored efficiently and protected. Brick Bagz now allow for this scenario to become reality, and their bags come in four different sizes too, to suit every LEGO collectors needs and wants.

As you can see by my photography the size of the LEGO box is going to take up substantially more storage space than a Brick Bagz would do. And random bricks in a box or a food bag isn’t ideal long term. Let’s all choose smart storage and sustainable products like what the Brick Bagz are. Store your filled bags wherever is easiest for you: mine are going in a box all neat in a row. Now I just need some more…

Each Brick Bagz is made with fabric that is chemical free and that is ethically sourced. They also post out to their customers in eco-friendly packaging as well. My son helped do the reviewing and liked that the bag was well-made, soft and sturdy.

My Honest Opinion

When I came across Brick Bagz I couldn’t believe my luck! I had been after a storage solution for our family LEGO that did not involve yet more plastic. I think my phone had been listening to my thoughts again because I logged into my social media to submit my latest post and there was an advert for Brick Bagz. As soon as I read about the company and their practices I knew that I wanted to work with them. A few emails and a few days later and I am sitting at home testing the small Brick Bagz bag with my eldest son. It was a simple idea but excellent quality, doing exactly as it advertised.

My son loved that it was so simple to store both the LEGO bricks and the booklet. The whole thing is made with high quality material and the added bonus was that I could get it in red! His favourite colour.

Overall I have been hugely impressed and rate this product a 5 stars across the board.

LEGO Set Ideal for Fantasy Fans and Artistic Builders

Examining this incredible LEGO set I was amazed at all the details and interesting ways that certain LEGO pieces were used to create something that looked entirely different. I’m no stranger to LEGO and its nice part usage, but this is my first ever DDREAMZzz set and it definitely had the wow factor from the moment I started to build it.
It is a pretty complex set and designed for ages 8 up to adults, and I would say that it took around 3.5 hours to complete. The stickers really help add to the depth of the LEGO pieces.
Overall I think it’s a much organised set and the builder also has the option on whether they want to build different aspects for the characters included. For example you could choose to build a bird or a butterfly; I chose the bird because I thought it looked amazing in the picture art included in the instructions. Talking of Art, it really added to the story for me, it’s not often that you get the LEGO imagined into picture scenarios so this was really cool.
You have to concentrate a fair bit when building this set due to all of the posable sections of the Pegasus, the limbs all need to be correctly aligned in order for the LEGO to stand up properly and it was much heavier than I realised. The characters are also unique and have great facial expressions and hair and costume details too. The final look of the Pegasus is amazing, and I hope my accompanying pictures portray that.
I wouldn’t change anything about this set, it’s unique, fun and I love anything to do with fantasy which is why I chose this one. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a fantasy genre or horses. If you’re building this to play it has tons of appeal with so much movement in every part of the set, but it also makes a great addition to any LEGO collector’s artistic display.

My Honest Opinion

Overall I would like to rate the 5 stars.

Quality 5✩
Features 5✩
Design 4✩
Playability 5✩

As with all LEGO the quality is always brilliant, but this set is like nothing I have ever built before. It was complex but it was very artistic which was fabulous. It has great parts usage and I loved how the build came together to make such an iconic piece; the Pegasus.
I wasn’t aware that these DREAMZzz sets were based upon a television show, and I am sure when my son is older I can introduce him to the shows because they sound great.
The playability and the imagination of this set is astounding, even if you love the concept and want to keep it as an artistic LEGO build. There was only one piece that caused me some concern which was the seat part of the nightmare character, it was not secure on the Pegasus due to only two contact studs. I used a spare piece of my own LEGO, a 4×4 studs in a square to increase the surface area so that the piece would sit and be better secured. This did not distract from the set as it’s hidden beneath.
Overall it’s a set that has a wonderful theme, fun and unique characters, bright and vibrant colours of bricks and a set which looks incredible once it’s all built and displayed.

Argos Testers Review of LEGO City Set 60317 Police Chase at the Bank

Today I am lucky enough to be showcasing a brand new LEGO City set which is out this week!

I have already submitted my product review to the Argos Website, and it has been accepted when this post has been published.

My Argos Tester Review

A set filled with fun & imagination, helicopter, police vehicle & the “clean getaways” Robbers / Heist assault vehicle. Not to mention a Bank full of awesome details & nifty moveable pieces. Endless possibilities for imaginative Police vs Robbers scenarios. Combine with other Lego City products, road pieces are included. Loved building this, took around 8 hours, so many amazing details & quirky unique LEGO aspects. Well designed vehicles & building with many opportunities for playing individually or with others. My favourite piece is the Helicopter that even allows you to fire a net out of the side! Wow! The details on the outfits of the characters are excellent with the Police Officers having vests with zip pockets & badges visible. Great accessories for all LEGO Mini Figures. All vehicles have wheels or rotatable blades. Everything is sturdy & the instructions are easy to follow (as always with LEGO). A wonderful set for anyone collecting the LEGO City or anyone who enjoys this type of scenario with Police catching the bad guys.
Great for children aged 7 and over due to its small parts, also great set for adults who enjoy LEGO scenarios too!
