My Destiny 2 Beta Experience and Review

Destiny 2 Beta

I was lucky enough to be able to play this Early Access Beta on Tuesday 18th July, in preparation for the new game coming out on the 6th of September. I have to say my first impressions of Destiny 2 are all positive ones. Here is how my night of gaming went, with a bit of opinion thrown in for good measure.

For a gamer like myself who has spent more than 1500 hours on Destiny (the first game) and it’s several incredible expansions, this new chapter posed both excitement and uncertainty.

Having adored the original game to the point where I’ve collected every PlayStation Trophy, completed the main storyline on the game more than once, tried to collect every weapon and armor set available, AND still managed to run the weekly nightfall on reset along with raid missions with my clan members, it’s all been money well spent. I have most certainly got the most out of this amazing PlayStation game.

The arrival of Destiny 2 has been a long time coming, and by that I mean that we knew about this sequel well over a year ago. Yet every single week I’ve still been drawn back to Destiny 1. And yes, before anyone asks I do actually play other games and have gained Platinum on several of them while awaiting this new Destiny adventure. (See my Games section for more of my reviews).

All in all I was adamant about getting this next game, and it has been preordered (which is how I got Beta access). After all the time and effort I have spent playing the original I knew that if it were going to be anything like it, I would want to play it, again and again…

The Beta

So here we are on the Beta week, I received my early access and I’ve been into it alone and with my clan members. (I will pop links to my videos below so that you can see some of my actual game play).

The main similarities with the original Destiny are compromised of the characters layout of armor and weapons slots. Of course there are slight variations, but overall it looks the same. The controls are also identical to the first game, I do love it when sequels don’t change much. I know that Destiny is essentially going straight from our present day playing into this newest adventure and quest line, but there had to be a few minor alterations…

The movement of characters is definitely more fluid, trust me when I say this is a good thing. Easy maneuverability for your gaming is something all players want. Our experience in this reality is also heightened by the incredible graphics that at times, are truly mind blowing. Weapons feel a little heavier to me, compared to Destiny, and their accuracy and impact upon enemies is more realistic.

I cannot yet speak for the storyline because I’ve only had access to small snippets of it. However I will say this, from what I have seen, the originality and the complexity to which the Bungie team have created these new planets and missions, is outstanding.

The small amount of time I’ve played jumping into the Crucible has been… interesting, to say the least. The maps for now are limited, but the graphics are exceptional and the real time damage is also good. There are changes that have been put into place regarding the ammo and the players. Most matches are now 4 vs 4 instead of 6 vs 6. But this just slows down the complexity of the match, and doesn’t take anything away from the experience that the Crucible gives its players.

During the Beta you got to experience a pre-selected character, Bungie has made a Warlock, Titan and Hunter, given them weapons and upgraded parts of their subclasses, so that we might trial them out in the new Destiny world and test their skills. My original character was a Warlock, so in honour to her I chose this as my starting character. She carried me through over one thousand hours of Destiny worlds and fighting aliens as big as buildings, I owed her for my incredible experiences. I am hugely passionate about Destiny and all that it stands for. Community is the main thing for me, other than the actual gaming. I have met some amazing people through the game and we have built real friendships from those encounters. I have the most incredible friends that now make up my clan (Acheronian Omada) and we play on the PlayStation with one another regularly. I really hope that Destiny 2 allows us to maintain the levels of friendship and helpfulness that I have seen and been a huge part of, for the past (almost) three years of my life. And when I think of how long I have been playing, it doesn’t seem like that long, it really doesn’t… (then you add up your character game times and convert it into hours and begin to cry).

What do I want from Destiny 2?

I want to astounded and amazed, I want to keep the friend and dedicated spirit of my clan mates alive, but most of all I want to be entertained. I believe, after playing this Beta, that Destiny 2 will do this for me. I am already overwhelmed by the graphics, the attention to detail with the sound effects and all the added extras.

So far the game has me hooked, and it isn’t even out yet! I am so glad that Bungie agreed to do a Beta, and I think they have done a fantastic job in getting it so perfect, I encountered very little issues while in game play, which for a new release is an excellent start. I trust that they will put just as much attention into getting it right on its release day, to ensure all guardians begin their Destiny 2 journey in the best way.

Final Thoughts

Overall I would like to conclude that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed these couple of hours exploring the Beta parts of Destiny 2. Including a few of my gasps and awestruck moments thrown in for good measure! I hope that the game will be all I am wanting from a sequel and more. Going to keep playing Destiny 1 until release date of course! And I am now eagerly awaiting the release date on September 6th!

As most of you will know I adore Dorothy Perkins clothing and fashion ranges. I have been to several DP stores recently, including when I went to London I visited Oxford St.

So what did I get I can hear you ask! Well a huge haul is about to be exposed right her on my blog including Skinny Jeans and Tee’s!

I’m going to show you all a ‘try on’ image and any important or relevant details I wish to share. I will review the items individually, unless otherwise stated. And the link to the items (if still available to buy online) will be situated in the title of each of the pieces.

Item 1. Blue Floral Print Curve Hem T-Shirt

My final Review for this Blue Striped Top is;

Quality; The quality is very good, the print is particularly nice on this top, although it’s a little bit thin, you would need to coordinate your choice of underwear. It would definitely need to be ironed as well after washing.
Value for Money; I purchased some of my items during a 30% off certain items in store week. However this t-shirts was still a very good price to begin with, for the quality.
Appearance; Both stylish and on trend, stripes are back in this summer and I adore the combination of the floral and striped design.
Comfort; This T-Shirt is soft and comfortable to wear. It fits very well around my shoulders, and I think the curve hem is very flattering even on someone slim like myself.

Quality; This top is a good thickness, you would be able to wear it throughout the year. It washed well and after a cool iron (not on the trim) it was looking fabulous again.
Value for Money; I purchased some of my items during a 30% off certain items in store week. However this t-shirts was still a very good price to begin with, for the quality. This particular top was bought when it was on sale, and now most places only have the Navy or White variations left in stock – both fabulous tee’s though.
Appearance; I love wearing this top, it’s circle hem is a wonderful addition, and it’s details are flattering and fashionable. It’s not scratchy on the skin, it’s very well made.
Comfort; This T-Shirt is excellently soft and comfortable. It fits perfectly to my size, and I found the shape of it flattering to my figure.

Item 4. Navy Daisy Print T-Shirt

Quality; The quality is excellent and the print is really beautiful. Would you believe me if I told you this T-Shirt was only £7.00?! The thickness of the material is good and because the print is all over it’s unnecessary to wear lots of accessory with it.
Value for Money; This T-Shirt was definitely my best buy for the price. The Price versus the Quality makes it fabulous!
Appearance; Floral patterns are on trend right now for the summer, which seems obvious but DP have made this tee affordable and fashionable which is awesome for everyone. It’s appearance is excellent because the design pattern goes the entire way through the material. The neckline is nice and high up and the navy blue base colour allows the tee to be paired with a variety of jeans.
Comfort; This T-Shirt is soft and comfortable. It fits very well around my shoulders. I also liked the length of the sleeves, long enough but not at all tight. The T-Shirt length is also very good, the size was true to fit.

Quality; I have always loved the quality of DP Eden Jeans. They are designed as pull on and off so are very convenient, but not only that they fit well around the buttocks and waist. I find them flattering to wear and the soft material means they are comfortable.
Value for Money; I purchased some of my items during a 30% off in store during that week I visited. These Eden jeans are usually priced between £16.00 and £22.00, but the colours are often on sale at the end of each season. I picked up several items this past month, varying colours, in fact below I will include an image of all my current Eden trousers. I also got 3 pairs in the sale, 2 were £12 and one was £10. Bargains!!!
Appearance; I adore the look of these jeans, they are comfortable which gives me confidence when I wear them, and with the range of colours, there is one for every mood and occasion. The fit is excellent and because they do a range of sizes. Short Leg, Regular Leg and Long Leg, as well as Petite and Standard and Tall versions.
Comfort; Pull On and Off, what more is there to say. The jeans are flattering and most of them are medium waisted. The skinny aspect of the jeans is comfortable because the material is so soft.

Here is also an image of all the Eden Jeans that I have bought over the past eighteen months. Dorothy Perkins have an incredible range and with every season new colours come out. I should just set up a standing order to receive the latest one in my size!

How To Make The Most Of A Few Days In London

What can I start by telling you about London… I don’t want to state the obvious, but it’s the Capital City of the United Kingdom, as most people know, and it is home to over 8.7 million people right now. But if you haven’t had the pleasure of going here, then this travel post is for you.

I have visited London many times, sometimes only for the day, other occasions for days at a time. But the one thing that I never tire of, is admiring its wonderful history and architecture. Sure, like most modern cities of the world it has incredible new buildings, such as The Shard, but the historic parts are what I adore most.

In this blog post I’m going to be documenting my most recent visit, and explaining all about places that I always like to go to when I come to the capital. There will also be many photographs for you to see that I have taken over the past couple of years that I have visited London.

Travel Guide

There are various ways to travel around London. I can highly recommend the London Underground, it is so efficient even at rush hour times. They have so many stations right near to prime locations as well, which means more sight seeing and less time walking in between them. Buses are always a good idea, however my husband and I prefer to catch a train or to walk.

If you are a keen walker, like myself, you can use a map of London to work out easy routes to walk from one place to another, if you are able. It’s a great way to experience the real London but also you never know what you might see.

Once at Buckingham Palace we saw the guards on formation, it was a wonderful and historic thing to witness. And there are usually things going on through the Spring and Summer months, in the various parks and gardens. Of course we cannot forget the London Marathon, it all depends on what month of the year you wish to visit.

Sight Seeing Must Sees!

My list of must sees are somewhat long, but if you’re going for only a couple of days I suggest you choose up to six places or things that you want to see or achieve, and leave back ups in case you manage to get around them all.

I will put my favourites in order, but you may have buildings you want to see that aren’t on my to do list, this is only a guide. There are also a ton more museums and wartime buildings that those of you with history passions might want to visit.

Here are some of my photographs from recent visits to London, I will admit I have done a huge amount of the city in my many years of going, but I still haven’t seen or experiences everything myself yet.

Staying Over Guide

When staying in a large city you must consider your travel time between your hotel and the sight seeing you will be undertaking. Picking a hotel can be tricky, the best thing to do is research the area of the city you’ll be doing the most sight seeing, and then work around and out on a map.

My husband and I have stayed in the Docklands and Canary Wharf side of London for the past five years. We have tried six different hotels in that time, all of which were great for different reasons. But we chose this area because of the bars and restaurants for the evenings escapades. It’s also easily accessible with the London Underground stations.

If you have a family, you probably don’t want to stay in such an adult area, and perhaps want to stay closer to some sights so it’s not so far to walk. All of this is simple to work out with a map and a location guide.

As for hotels themselves, I have stayed in Ibis, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, Novotel and Holiday Inn Express. All of which have been excellent. You can browse online for ones with your specific needs such as a Gym or Family Facilities.

I usually book on last minute websites such as Hotwire with only weeks to go before I want to stay. It’s a good way to save money, however once you’ve booked there are no refunds, so you need to be sure that you’ll be going.

Other Things To Consider

If you’re into History or like to attend the Theatre maybe you can consider one of these things to do. London has a variety of awesome Museums and also the London Zoo. There are so many theatres in London to choose a whole library of shows and musicals from. They are a once in a lifetime experience if you can afford to go.

The Tea Terrace on the top floor of House of Fraser on Oxford Street, is a lovely experience to have if you love your tea and cake and don’t mind sitting in a Princess style tea room.

Don’t forget there are bus tours you can take if you can’t walk very far, and a huge array of restaurants and bars you can make your way around if you’re that way inclined.

Finally, and probably one of the most important points for most people. The Shopping!
London has a vast array of shops. Oxford Street is the most famous of course but you also have Covent Garden for more unique and often handmade items.

I always buy a little something while in London, and try to experience the hustle and bustle for myself. Department stores that look as though they can touch the clouds, and quaint little shops that offer homemade goods.

London is honestly unique for this, and even on a budget there is something for everyone.

Sabrina’s Key Holiday Points

So if you’re considering a break away remember my three key things about booking a holiday.

1. Research the Area
2. Know Your Limits – Money and Health Wise
3. Live Within Your Means & Save with Vouchers

1. It’s always a good idea to look up the local area, make sure you book a hotel in an area that is both accessible by the transport you need, and is in a tourist area for health and safety reasons.

2. Know the limits of your health, because even I have to remind myself that I cannot do everything that I used to, but that doesn’t stop me having a great time. And know your bank balance too – don’t get yourself in debt just because you wanted a ride on the London Eye!

3. Finally, always live within your means. You might not be able to do it all and see everything, so pick your top 3 and work out the pricing. Always look for vouchers online too and on various food items such as Cadbury Chocolate Packets and Cereals! You can always find a bargain if you search for it, and I am definitely one for making the most of a two for the price of one deal!

BooHoo MCR Charity Tee – The Bee Tee

BooHoo MCR Charity Tee – Bee Tee

As many of you will know, the United Kingdom has been through some very difficult times of recent, with terror attacks rocking our country. Like many other people I was lucky to not be directly affected, but still mourning the loss of my fellow Britain’s. And as a whole country, we looked at ways in which we could help those still in need.

I regularly donate to charities, and I wanted to do my bit this time but was unsure how. But then I saw that BooHoo were going to do a range of t-shirts. They wanted to raise funds for the victims of the terror attack that occurred in Manchester at the Ariana Grande concert.

As soon as my size was available I ordered, knowing that BooHoo were donating 100% of the profits from each of the items sold direct to the MCR emergency fund. This pleased me because I knew the money would go directly to its cause.

I chose the Bee Tee one. My reasons behind that were for two things in particular and I do love going to Manchester. It was a city I visited regularly growing up and my husband and I had our first date there as well, so it holds a special place in my heart. The other reason is because long before I was a blogger, I classed myself as a nature photographer. I adore nature and making images of it, and Bee’s are something I macro a lot during the warmer months.

When the top arrived I was pleasantly surprised by its quality, this wasn’t just something that was mass produced in order to make the money quickly. BooHoo has chosen good quality fabric and the print was straight and correctly applied. This is the whole reason that I am reviewing this item, not only are you helping a great cause by purchasing, but you’re also getting a wonderful item to wear yourself.

It was a brilliant white colour and the Manchester Bee really stands out. This t-shirt is made from 100% Cotton, which is why it’s so nice to wear. The fit was good, I chose a Small, and was happy I did. As you will see in my images below, it fitted well to my size in both shoulders and length.

(Excuse my no makeup look – fresh home from work and I just had to try it on! Which is why it was creased too ha ha!)

I have washed and worn the tee, and although it does crease easily a cool iron is all that is needed to bring this tee back to looking great. It is extremely comfortable and also has a good length as well. It looks perfect with coloured jeans.

I’m so pleased that I not only decided to buy this top but also to help BooHoo raise some money for MCR. What better way to help victims of something so awful, but still end up with an item to remind you of how strong we can be when we support each other and stand together.

My Favourites

My favourite items from this month’s box are the iron on prints, because these are so on trend at the moment, unique denim pieces are definitely the way to go, so if you have what you need to customise them do it. I also love the see through case, useful for makeup and various bits and pieces but unusual design too! Finally I like the straws, a neat idea, ideal to use for a BBQ or party or for other decorative purposes. They are well made and will keep on the card they’ve been supplied on until they are ready to be used, very useful!

My Overall Opinion

The July box is a good box, I wasn’t wowed by it, but there are some thoughtful and useful items inside it. Some are unique and well made, so I appreciate the quality that is supplied this month. I cannot use the wax melts in my home so they will go into my box with my others and make the wardrobe smell nice instead.

Max Factor Marble Makeup Review

How awesome was this free gift from Max Factor when you spent £15 or more on selected Max Factor makeup products, it began back in March this year.

I did put my opinion on to Instagram about it when I first unboxed it at the end of March, but I thought it was about time that I showed you some more detailed photos and review the items individually.

Inside the box there is a Lipfinity Lip Colour, a Masterpiece Max Mascara and a pretty pink Blush. Neatly presented in a beautiful marble box complete with gold lid.

You get this gorgeous marble print box and all this makeup free in this promotion!

I love the mascara and think of it as the original one that Max Factor used to use in its model advertisements when I was growing up.

I already have another shade of the lipstick of the type supplied which is Lipfinity, it has good staying power when applied correctly. The colour is a really nice shade of pink, 006 Always Delicate is the name.

The blush is a lovely pink looking colour and is ideal for Spring looks.

Over all it is a fabulous Spring set, and with a beautiful box that can be reused again and again too for a variety of uses. Thanks Boots and Max Factor for the collaboration I’ve loved receiving these products!

My overall review on this free gift set is 5/5!

I loved that you could create a makeup look purely from the contents of the box. You can make a look that is both natural looking but with a fresh Spring vibe, that is complimented with the other Max Factor products you could have purchased in order to get this free box in the first place.

The items that I purchased in order to get this free gift set were an Eyeshadow Palette which was the Max Factor Smokey Eye Drama Kit – Lavish Onyx and the Max Factor Marble Collection False Lash Effect Velvet Volume Mascara in Black.

I rate the Eyeshadow Kit I got as a 5/5 because of the variety in colours, I felt that they would suit my eye colour. I found they are both easy to blend and also have decent staying power without the need for much touching up.

The Velvet Volume Mascara is an excellent product, it is really jet black, but I wasn’t overly keen on the size of the brush for my shape of eyes, I give this item a 4/5.

Topshop Scrunchies Review

Hello Severn Wishes Followers! Welcome to my Topshop Scrunchies Review.

Just a short review for the blog today from my recent Topshop purchases. I was after some new Scrunchies that would be strong enough to wear around the home but nice enough to wear out if I were to put my hair in a bun. I had seen some either online or in a magazine and I recalled they were from Topshop so I made it my first choice to look at the selection. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and so got myself some.

I bought two kinds, one red and one blue, I went for more vibrant colours instead of going safe like I would normally do. I really like the unusual pattern on them, and I love that there are no metals used so your hair won’t get damaged during their use .

The Cost is £4.00 per Scrunchie and these two were sold individually. I wouldn’t normally spend that kind of money on hair accessories, but I really liked the uniqueness of them and these accessories seemed well made.

Overall I think these are fashion forward and on trend pieces that can brighten up anybody’s hair accessories stash. The quality is good and I like the exciting patterns too. I purchased these at the end of May, and the blue one is now on sale, typical! I think if more get reduced I wouldn’t mind a few more of them, they are rather comfortable to wear in my hair and I feel they match a variety of items in my wardrobe as well.

Sabrina’s Horizon Zero Dawn Review

Some of you might know that I am a keen gamer, and when I say keen I mean that I try to make time every week to play the things I love. One of my most recent completions was Horizon Zero Dawn and I am so impressed with it I had to write a full review. Before I get into the details I wanted to show you some screenshots of my game play to show you just how amazing the Horizon Zero Dawn world looks.

I first heard about Horizon Zero Dawn around eighteen months ago. A good friend of mine (who is also a female gamer) recommended it to me, she thought it’s storyline would be right up my street – and she wasn’t wrong! I love playing games with complex storylines and immense details. The things I look for in a game would be excellently fluid plot lines and details in both graphics and content.

The first week that Horizon came out I made a decision to avoid all other peoples videos, reviews and spoilers, because I didn’t want to spoil it for myself. I wanted to play the game from the very start without knowing anything about what lay ahead for the character. I needed the feeling of being surprised and amazed to come from my own experience and not from watching someone else play. I wanted to be entertained and do you know what? Horizon turned out to be a better game than I could have ever imagined.

The majority of Pro Gamers completed the main storyline in between forty and fifty hours. I have managed to complete the entire game in just over eighty hours. But that includes every one of the Playstation Trophies available, so I have earned Platinum on this game.

I have always been a very thorough gamer, I love to explore the worlds and move over every inch of the map. The Horizon Zero Dawn map was not only vast but complex with varying degrees of tasks and collectibles to find. Some of the imaginative ideas that have been created for this game are incredible.

Enjoying so many aspects of this game has made this review so easy to write, and I have very little criticisms for the games creators, I can only hope for a sequel. I know they have released a trailer for an upcoming DLC for the game, but I would love to see more of Horizon in the future.

As far as the content is concerned I was extremely impressed. Most gamers have suggested that you won’t figure out all of Horizon’s vast plot twists, but I got ninety percent right! I was rather pleased with myself, but I guess it comes from being thorough and collecting everything and reading all the data. The game has some epic cut scenes for both the present day characters and the past, combine those with the various conversations that Aloy has, it isn’t difficult to work out where the story is heading. There was one part however that I just didn’t see coming, and I was in both shock and awe of the writers decision to include it. Needless to say this is a story with quite a few adult themes running within it.

So what do you do in this game a part from piecing together various data and information… Well you explore a vast map of post apocalyptic Earth, and it is incredible. How the art ties into the storyline is breathtakingly beautiful at times. And then you have your main character, Aloy.
Aloy is a bow and arrow wielding, strong willed young woman, out to seek answers about her where she came from. And I adored playing as her. The levels of detail and deep imagination that has gone into the backbone of this game, have made me love every moment of Horizon, even the really tricky bits like some of the trails! (We’ll get to that in a bit).

So let me tell you all now, why I believe this game is a 10/10, and why I am so glad that I got it.

From the moment you begin the Horizon Zero Dawn journey you are met with mind blowing graphics and instant obstacles to face. Once Aloy has grown up and you venture out further into the map, it soon becomes clear that this journey will be long and arduous. Every new section brings more excitement and more challenges. As you will see in my various images, the levels of details are astonishing.

The association between the imagery and the sounds is also fantastic. Not only is there a huge attention to detail in the weather, the breathing, the footprints and other sounds relating to game play, but the actual music soundtrack is also highly adventurous. Some pieces of music are beautiful and others dramatic, I can recommend the soundtrack to everyone who enjoyed the game. I am the person who goes out and buys the track lists to games that I loved, I feel I am right back into the world when I hear it. I believe you connect on a deeper level with something if you also connect with the music you’re hearing.

With many hours of complex game play, a superb options section that is both easy to navigate and thorough, and despite a vast array of resources in the game, Horizon has an inventory that is understandable and full of purpose. Everything you find within the game is necessary at some point.

Aloy is a rather self sufficient character, she is trained at an early part of the game and you continue to grow these skills as you progress through the various quests. I love how she is strong willed yet relate able, she is a always helping and saving others. Aloy is a heroine who beyond all accounts is showing girl power at its best, she doesn’t need saving and I adored that.

Horizon Zero Dawn is voiced by several excellent actors, most of whose voices I have heard in other largely popular games. We don’t always know their names but we appreciate their huge contribution to games such as this one.

The incredible voices along with the detailed expressions of the characters within the game make the whole experience more believable and so lifelike.

Another aspect I loved were the choices you got in the game. There were various ways you could move around the map, the errands and additional quest missions could be done in any order, or you could leave them and go back to them. The conversations Aloy have also allow you to choose various answers and make life choices for your character. You feel a larger part of this game with every decision that you make.

The wonder, suspense and jaw dropping moments of Horizon will sustain your curiosity right until the end. And if you’re anything like me you’ll be playing it to its full potential, all the way through. I don’t want to give much away in regards the storyline, but I will say this, the plot has twists and gives a variety of hints, but unless you’re reading and listening to everything that happens to Aloy on her journey, then parts will leave you both amazed and surprised.

I have very little criticism for the game, I’m not keen on the way that Aloy jumps at some parts, but other than this the game is smooth and the movement of the character and weaponry is fluid.

Missguided May 2017 Purchases

Recently Missguided paired with Lucozade and offered voucher codes in specific cans of drink at various shopping outlets across the United Kingdom. I was lucky enough to pick one up at the Manchester Trafford Centre while out on a shopping trip. And to my astonishment the code I inputted gave me a 50% off on the website! Many thanks to both of the companies for the code, I got two items at a great price, something I had my eye on for a few weeks and something brand new in that caught my eye. This blog post is a fashion review and a look at my style.

I saw this beautiful lace bralet on the New In page of Missguided the other week, it was definitely my kind of clothing. The detail on their images made it look pretty and I already owned tops that I knew I could pair with this piece, if it wasn’t warm enough to wear singularly of course.
What I was excited about – when I opened the plastic and held the top in my hands – was how soft it was. I really didn’t expect it! A lot of lace majority clothing items can feel scratchy against the skin but this piece was the total opposite.

This bralet is made with 100% Polyester, and although you have to wash it on a delicate cycle at 30 degrees to keep its shape and gorgeous lace intact, it’s easy enough to take care of. And as Missguided says on the label, “Or give this to your mum she’ll wash it!” Ha ha!

I chose a size 8 and was glad that I did because it fitted me perfectly. This bralet has a zip back fastening and also adjustable shoulder straps too. I would say that it was true to size if you know you’re back size so you can compare the sizes with Missguided’s size guide.

As you will see in my photographs now, it’s a lovely item with a great deal of potential and such a range of versatility for ones wardrobe. A bralet this nice should be shown off, but if you don’t have the confidence for that you can still treat yourself to a gorgeous piece like this one, and wear it underneath a pretty t-shirt. Remember that clothes are for you, nobody else, and so long as you feel confident and comfortable, that is what matters.

When you think about lounge wear it’s about comfort and ease of wear. I’m sure that this review of the ‘Grey Frill Lounge Tracksuit’ from Missguided, will appeal to a large number of you.

As I’m sure many of you will be like me, you have full time jobs and when you get home after a long day you don’t reach for a nice dress or a pair of denim jeans. Instead you pull on the most comfortable items you have so you can chill out.

If this sounds like you then why not take a look at my review of this tracksuit. Not only is the material super soft and versatile with its large pockets in the trousers. But it also fitted true to size for me and has such a nice detail with the frills on the top. It would make anyone feel more feminine and give a lounge wear a bit of glamour!

What is so special about it, I hear you all ask, isn’t it just a tracksuit? Well you’re right, it is! It’s nothing on its own! But when you’re both comfortable and stylish it can give you the confidence to wear this ensemble proudly. Whether you’re travelling and need extra softness or you’re doing the chores around the home, this piece is lovely. The frills are on trend right now too!

This outfit really is the best of both worlds, and isn’t bad for the price that I paid (with 50% off). I only have one con about it though, it’s quite a thin material. We have wonderful softness but it’s something that you will need to wear underwear and perhaps a vest underneath as well if you’re going out in it anywhere.

This tracksuit is made from 95% Polyester and 5% Elastane. This is what makes it so soft! It is recommended to be washed on a 30 degree cycle, and I wore and washed mine with ease, it also dried quickly because of the thinness of the material.

Here are some photographs of me in the tracksuit so you can see lengths. I am a size 6/8 and stand at 5 ft 3 3/4s. I purchased a size 8 of the tracksuit.

June 2017 Treatbox Reveal

This month we see a pale sea green tissue paper as we open a box which shouts ‘Beach’ and ‘Mermaid’ themes at us with the sticker quoting ‘You are Mer-Mazing’. The Calendar print has June of course with lovely colourful shells behind it. And with these bits I’m eager to see what else is inside my actual treatbox.

My Favourites

My favourite items from this months box are the bag and the sea quoted hanging decoration. I love that the bag is enviro friendly and such a decent size. Not only is it water resistant and wipe clean, but its got a velcro strip in the middle which means nothing will fall out. The decorative hanging sea side board is well made and has beautiful details in its pattern. It is bold and great for a bathroom if you have a nautical theme going on.

My Overall Opinion

There are some nice items in this box, and overall the theme is very good, beach is a bit of fun and most of us have great memories of times spent there. Little things like these pieces can help us to rekindle our love for the seaside.

I wasn’t sure why we received two hanging decorations in the same box, I was surprised about that. They are both lovely items but I’m not sure if two decorations is a little much for one box. I would have loved to have seen something crafty like, make your own mini deck chair or something like that, something make-able…
