My Honest Opinion of the May 2023 Box

I really liked the Calming theme of this box, overall it was executed well and I thought the products matched up nicely. I would have liked an edible or drinkable treat in here, but that’s me being picky. My personal self care involves an edible treat as well as doing things like a face mask or taking a long bath.

I really loved the Sodalite Star it’s beautiful and the properties of it are excellent. The bag is 100% cotton and from a source which is ethically produced so that’s great! I do like the positive quote cards and look forward to displaying them at home and putting them on my socials to keep spreading that positivity around for all who see them. Love the spa band as it’s soft and pretty with the bow.

I haven’t had the time to have a bath with the salts yet so watch this space and I will review that when I get round to it, and I will wear the spa band, I will put it on my social media when I do! I can’t use the wax melts sadly due to my son being very allergic to soya products, so they will go into my “gifts to friends” box to be passed on at some point in the coming months.

Overall it’s a lovely theme and a nice box of mixed calming treats for us to enjoy. Here is a photograph of my favourite items this month.

How I Helped My Child Fall in Love with Numbers

I am a huge believer in passing on knowledge to people when it might be useful to them, and for many years I had considered being a teacher. However my life took a different direction once I went off to university. It didn’t stop me from coming up with things that others may find handy though, it was just one of many reasons I decided to start my blog all those years ago.

After I became a parent I found I was coming up with lots of hacks and tips for my son that other parents might also find useful. This particular blog post today is all about NUMBERS! My son learnt his numbers 1 to 10 very quickly thanks to my tips and tricks, by the time he started preschool at 3 he could count to 31. He is now 4 and thanks to my encouragement he can count to a whopping 500!

The fab thing about my tips is that you may already have some of these items laying around in your home that you can use, and if not you can make your own cards like I have also done. Check out online second hand and local shops if you don’t have anything, as well as asking friends who may have slightly older children if they could have a clear out for you. Let me tell you about how I introduced and taught my son about numbers.

Child Clocks or Numbered Blocks

Your baby may already have toys with numbers on, things for age 6 month plus normally have various things on them, you may find a mix of nature and numerical combinations or well known characters with basic shapes and or numbers too. Toys and playmats also sometimes have numbers, those talking toys certainly will, but teaching your little one how to recognise a number visually is important.

You can easily get wooden toys that contain clocks on them or boards with numbers that can be removed and set out in a numerical order. These toys are great for learning the starter numbers (1-10) but also for starting with basic mathematics too. I bought my son a board of numbers and he has a wooden clock as well gifted by a relative. The blocks in my image above were bought online and are of the brand Infantino, these BPA free plastic cubes have an array of animals and numerical variations on them such as dots and actual written numbers. They were some of the first numbers my son saw as a baby.

My son would like to count things around him, so say I gave him 4 smiley faces for his tea I would ask how many I had given him, soon he started counting everything. 2 swings at the park, 7 birds on the fence, 5 sheep in the field. And so on, and lots of praise and encouragement when they get something right is also essential. Make learning a fun thing to do and participate in.

You can also begin time telling by showing them a phone or a watch and asking them to find the time. If they have a child’s clock they can match that time. A children’s clock may just have turn-able clock hands or some have the digits that are also removeable too. For example it might be 10.30am so you ask them what that would look like on their clock and see if they select the numbers appropriately. Making it fun means that it is more likely to sink in to their mind. If they have breakfast at 7.30am every day, you could ask them what the time is on the kitchen clock if you have a steady routine, or if bedtime is 7pm too.

The Home Calendar Block

My calendar block is also a clock! Many of us will have a Calendar block at home, these blocks rotate daily and allow children to understand the passing of days into months. When my son was two I introduced him to my block set, and every single morning before breakfast we would rotate the blocks. I started by giving him one and me the other, I would say something like “Today is the 17th so we need a 1 and a 7, I have the 7, can you find me a 1 please?” And his interest developed from there. Soon I could ask him to find any of the numbers from One to Thirty One and he could place them on the block correctly. For the past two years we have done this every day and he has learnt to count up to 31 just by doing the calendar. My son also asked me why the months were different numbers, why it didn’t go up to Thirty Two and such, it sparked an interest which lead to me making his flashcards up to 50 numbers.

Flashcards – Bought or Homemade

Flashcards are great, you can buy them from most online toy retailers, or if are creative and have pens, like me you could make them. My son has 50 of these homemade numbers now, and thanks to some games he can count up to 500. He does number work at school, and even got an award recently for how good he was with counting numbers. Making it colourful and fun is inviting the child to participate. Always encourage but never force your child to learn, do it on their own terms when you are at home. Plus if it is fun they will be more likely to want to repeat the exercise. My son is currently doing writing practice for his letters and numbers and coming on great thanks to wipeable board books which I highly recommend because they are reusable.

Originally I only made ten numbers but my son was soon asking for more, and the more he enjoyed counting them and laying them out in their order, the more I wanted to continue making and encouraging that growth in learning.

When my son turned 3 I also made a set of flashcards that had the number and the written word such as One and 1 on them, this was so my son learnt the word associated with the number in preparation for reading and writing them.

Other Fun Number Related Activities

Playing Dominoes is another fun learning activity which requires the counting of numbers, and games like Yahtzee, Playing Cards or Rummikub are also fun to start with children of a going to school age.

However you keep using numbers in your child’s life, know this, you are helping them learn through play.

April 2023 Treatbox UK Reveal and Review

Well here we are, halfway through April and I apologise that my product review is later than usual. Having done my video unboxing when I initially received my Treatbox in the post I was then busy with the Easter holidays and spending some much needed family time. But having this extra time before writing my review also gave me a chance however, to look at this months products in more detail.

April was a lovely Bee themed and happiness inspiring box for me. Loved it!

Let’s take a look now and remind ourselves what was inside it, I am sharing my honest opinions as always and all the photography is my own.

What was inside the April box?

Bee Themed!

April Calendar Print
Treatbox Original Bee Pin
Treatbox Original Printed Notepad Busy Bee A6
Treatbox Original Socks Bees and Hearts in honey beige
Treatbox Original A6 Print “she turned her can’t into cans & her dreams into plans”
Lapcos Honey Nourishing and Hydrating Face Mask 27ml
Tasty Mates Salted Caramel Sweets GF Vegan 54g
Bee Gold Plated Earrings with Crystal Wings

My Honest Opinion

I loved the theme this month, when you think of April you imagine rain showers or April flowers, but a Bee is a cute idea and I think of nature in abundance when I consider Bees, plus, who doesn’t love a cute little Bee?! The Bee and Honey theme was well executed throughout and I love how the Treatbox original products coordinated with each other as well.

Overall the quality of the products was excellent, we know our notepads and other Treatbox original stationery is printed to the highest quality, as are the TB original socks. I have yet to try the sweets or the face mask but that’s because I’ve had a really busy few weeks on Easter break. I have put the Bee pin on my jacket and the notepad is out on my table ready for my next list. I did find the font a little hard to read on the Print this month but perhaps I’m being picky. Did you read it okay? I will be sharing more pictures on Instagram of the products in use very soon.

My favourite items for April 2023 have been the notepad, socks, pin and earrings. I don’t usually wear jewellery in gold due to my skin complexion, however these earrings are stunning and far too nice to give away, so I hope to pair them with an outfit matching their calibre soon. Watch out for updates on my social media on all of the items you have seen revealed today.

What is your favourite item in this April box?

Here are some more of my photographs.

Argos Testers Review of the LEGO Classic Creative Fantasy Universe 11033

Hello! I’m Sabrina! I am an Argos Tester, this means that I often get items sent to me for the purpose of an online review. I thoroughly test the products and take photographs of them before submitting my findings and honest thoughts over to Argos. This latest campaign was to test a brand new Classic LEGO Set, and because LEGO is for all ages who doesn’t love to play? I know I do.

#ArgosTester #ArgosTesters #ArgosTestersCommunity

I have written this article about a product that I have been supplied for free, in order to test and then review it. This is my experience with said product and it is my honest review about the product listed below. I have already submitted my review to the Argos Website, and it has been accepted on to live public view when this blog post has been publishedPlease see my review on this screengrab below from the Argos website. All words and photography within this article are my own.

My Argos Tester written piece above as seen on the website on the product. We are only able to share six images when we submit a review to the website, and I took plenty more while building this LEGO and testing the contents, so you will see way more of my photography of this product as your scroll down through my blog post. How cute is the LEGO Horse?

Product Name: LEGO Classic Creative Fantasy Universe Building Toys 11033
Product Price: £80.00
Product Link: Argos Website

Product Information: This LEGO Classic Box contains 1800 pieces with brand new bricks and colours ideal for a Fantasy realm including Silver, Gold and Pearl. The books contain several step-by-step ideas and then there are bags more of all sorts of colours of bricks for people to use their imagination and create whatever they want to. Designed for ages 5 and up (due to smaller LEGO pieces) and Adults will also find this set very enjoyable with the view of creating mythological creatures and fantasy worlds. If you like Mermaids, Pirates, Wizards, Knights, Horses, Dragons, Unicorns and even Castles, this is the set for you. And even after you’ve made all of that there will be hundreds of bricks left over to build whatever you can dream up in your mind.

My Honest Opinion

Overall I would like to rate the LEGO Classic Creative Fantasy Universe 5 stars.

Overall Quality 5✩
Features 5✩
Design 5✩
Originality 5✩

The variety of pieces in this box is excellent and the quality of the LEGO bricks is at it’s usual high standard of manufacturing. I love how LEGO start you off with a few ideas in two small step by step books, but then your imagination just takes over and you can think up all sorts of things to make. With so many additional bricks too there is plenty for a whole family to get involved with it and do some creative making. We played for four hours and barely scratched the surface with how many hundreds of bricks still remained.

What I loved most, other than the fact you get hundreds of different kinds and colours of bricks in this set, is that you’re able to use your imagination in a brand new way. By creating LEGO Bricks and pieces that depict things you would find in a Fantasy world, people can create their own creatures and scenarios which I don’t think has been seen that much before in terms of it being a Classic Set. Specific LEGO like Disney, Pirates, Harry Potter, TV Show set ups etc, have that genre specific vibe with pieces you would always expect to see inside. But this LEGO set is totally new, and with bits you may find within those other types of sets, however it’s allowing you to use them how you wish to. Wands, Wings, Utensils, Swords, and hundreds of building bricks alongside these smaller unique pieces, they allow you to let your imagination come up with your own LEGO world.

I would recommend this set to any family that love LEGO or to an adult that loves fantasy and would like to start building basic creatures that they can then elaborate upon. I built my son a second Dragon just by following the instructions and seeing what other bricks were similar enough to do a second model. The same goes for the Horse, we were able to make multiple ones in different colours to mix it up a bit. I want to build a larger castle for my son, so that he can use some mini figures that he got from another set I bought him for Christmas, and combine the two.

Overall I recommend this LEGO set for its diversity and its attention to details. I will now share some more photography that we took during making and creating.

Thank you for reading this product review today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing what my family and I have made so far from reviewing this set. With hundreds of bricks still to use there is no doubt that we will have many hours of fun creating LEGO with the remaining bricks.

If you have any questions about this set then please leave me a comment below or on my social media posts and I will do my best to answer with the knowledge I have gained from reviewing this product.

Thank you.

Stray is a game like no other

“STRAY” GAME REVIEW

At the end of 2022 I was able to get my hands on a game called Stray for my PlayStation, this was luckily through download included in my yearly subscription to the PlayStation Store. I had heard good things about this particular digital adventure and I eagerly waited to play it after Christmas when I wasn’t so busy. Starting the game between Christmas and New Year, but I didn’t complete it until January due to other commitments. I liked this game so much I knew I wanted to Review it for everyone who was interested to hear about my honest opinions of it.

Also check out the pictures throughout my post, they are all screenshots from my PS4 from when I was playing the game as Stray the Cat, and I think you will agree that the level of detail is phenomenal in some of them. And I must mention one more thing before we jump headfirst into this review, and that is that both of my cats sat in front of the television during my initial hour of gameplay, watching the screen, tapping on the screen, responding to the meows from Stray, it was so funny.

When I first heard about this game I knew I wanted to play it, it was the chance to be a Cat (albeit a Stray one) and take an adventure as an animal I loved, that is what I found so appealing about Stray. There might be a few minor spoilers in my main Review so if you don’t want to know about those then perhaps skip down to the final paragraph titled “My Honest Opinion” to see what I thought overall once I had completed the game. Let’s get started on what Stray is and what my thoughts were as I played it.

What is Stray about?

Set in a dystopian future where a sealed dome city houses robots, machines and deadly mutant bacteria the Robots call Zurks. The Stray finds out human civilisation has died out from a pandemic and that people were sealed inside these domed cities for their safety but ultimately it was their undoing. Stray is set when most living things are now gone and almost long forgotten about. The Robots cannot believe their computer eyes when they first see you enter their slum city, and you soon win over their metallic hearts. Stray is about discovering what happened to humanity, helping the Robots, while they in turn try to help you get back to the surface and out of the city. It’s a very different “end of the world” scenario, where Robots have evolved and built themselves to resemble the humans they once served. Each main character has a quirk to it and you’ll meet a lot of Robots along the way, Scientists, Musicians, Bar Keeps, and one incredible little Robot called B-12.

Your story begins with you exploring the world with your siblings, high above the city where nature is slowly reclaiming things humans once built. Suddenly you fall down inside when a plank gives way and your life changes forever. Trapped with no way to climb out, and injured, you have no choice but to push forward through the depths of this abandoned place. As you wander the streets you end up taking any route you can, until you find a building where you can finally drink some water and get some rest. Meowing is also something fun to do! You end up exploring where you meet a new friend who calls himself B-12. This cute little robot even makes you a backpack so he can ride inside it while you use your Cat agility to scale buildings and find safe passage through. B-12 cannot remember much at the beginning, but you can help him remember by collecting memories and scanning parts of this neon city. Soon a picture of what life used to be like starts to emerge.

Don’t forget to be a Cat while you play this game, scratch things, jump into things, curiosity is vital for Stray! Press buttons and batter things with those paws! Meow a million times (just not when you’re sneaking past Zurks) and do what a Cat does!

With B-12 promising to help you and you happy for company, Robot and Cat take off across the city in search of a way home. Passing neon signs and technology still in use, you finally encounter signs of life, however these are not friendly. The Zurks are mutant bacteria and other than our friendly Cat are the only living things left inside the sealed city. Escaping for your life you end up in the city slum and discover that it is filled with humanoid robots. Getting into places only a small creature can go, you are soon put to work by the Robots – who all have names by the way! And you begin exploring and getting into mischief.

The Robots are shocked to see a living creature; it’s been hundreds of years since they last saw anything alive. You make new friends, talk to dozens of Robots using B-12’s help, and by searching the slum and collecting things with B-12 by your side you begin to build a picture of what life were like before the Zurks. Some Robots trade items with you to help on your journey, this is an important part of the game. However sometimes it means putting yourself in danger in order to help others which is a real sacrifice, but without help you’ll never get home, so you must try.

B-12 and his back pack are essential to your journey. As you collect and trade and gift things to the Robots you build up what you need to move on through the story, and once you have successfully helped the Robots too, you can then leave the slum on your journey to continue to the surface.

Getting out of the slum city is only the beginning for Stray, as he navigates avoiding Zurks in order to help the AI’s, helping more and more Robots to get what they need in order to defeat the Zurks, and helping B-12 to realise how important he is through helping him regain his memories. But not all Robots are your friends either, some are Sentinels out to get anyone disobeying the rules and you have to use your Cat stealth on many occasions too.

There are many ups and downs in Stray, tear jerking moments of realisation, and a sombre thought about what life could resemble if humans did die out. Would Robots continue on without us? Fixing their own parts? Building things to better aid their own survival? Stray raises lots of questions, but as you progress in the game things become more and more clear, until the final realisation, when you are able to get what you need in order to open up the city roof. Robots have built a civilisation all their own down there, they remember the humans and continued where they left off, but how much longer can they continue without real purpose?

(BIG SPOILER) B-12 helps Stray to navigate all the layers of the city, and once into the control room at the end of their journey, B-12 makes the ultimate sacrifice so that Stray can finally go home and live its life outside of the city walls once again. This pulled at my heart strings when B-12 realised his world was gone and he had nothing left except the capacity to help this Stray Cat to live.

This game was touching, beautifully designed and skilled with both story and layout. It was complex and simple all at the same time, but challenging enough that I didn’t get bored once. I played slowly taking everything in and trying to complete all of the side mission quests also. Roughly it took me between 6 and 7 hours from start to finish. Though there were times I let Stray Cat sleep on a cushion and just watched him for like five minutes at a time, ha! He’s just so cute! Okay cute is just the word I would use because it’s adorable and so lifelike in movement too, that was something that I loved, even down to the jumping and landing of the Cats body it’s been developed really well.

My Honest Opinion

I honestly loved this game, throughout each section I explored and learned about the world Stray had fallen in to. There were poignant aspects and references back to humans which were both quirky and forlorn. It gave me lots to think about and enjoy as I ventured around as a Cat. If you played it through without doing any side missions you could do it in 2-3 hours. If you take your time and enjoy the scenery and details it’s a 6-8 hour game. I enjoyed the side missions, and there were two of them I didn’t complete so I would love to replay Stray and achieve them one day. Helping the Robots get what they need to succeed is quite satisfying.

Lots of you might be reading this to find out if Stray is a sad game, well, that depends on to whom you are referring to. I will just give you this one tiny spoiler, which is Yes the Stray Cat does survive and get out of the city in the end but you might accidently get it killed several times along the journey thanks to the Zurks (but it’s a good job he has 9 lives!) you’ll see what I mean when you play it. Those Zurks are fast and savage!

Would I recommend it to people as a game?

Yes I would, if you love Cats, play it, for dystopian future nerds, you would like it, people interested in what our world might look like hundreds of years after mutant bacteria causes a pandemic and wipes out humans as we currently know it… (Too soon?). This game was developed during the Pandemic, so hats off to them. I played this at the end of 2022 and start of 2023 (because I’m a single parent who doesn’t have the time to sit down and play a game in one session – even a relatively short one). Despite it being short in game time terms, it’s definitely worth playing due to the sheer amount of effort that has gone into making it. Little quirky things really made this game great for me, references to items that I use even now, things that still work technology wise in a dystopian future, and the thought that Cats will outlive humans… well… that’s fab in my eyes. The lifelike aspects of Stray the Cat is amazing and I believe one or more of the developers must have Cats at home in order to have gotten that movement and its mannerisms spot on. I loved every second of being an adorable ginger cat and I would love to see them make another one, perhaps when the Robots venture out of the now opened city? Maybe there is another City close by that needs saving too? If you need some story ideas hit me up I’ve got tons and you can pop my name on the Credits of the sequel! Ha! Ha! Definitely my cup of tea as a Game and hats off to the creators for doing a wonderful job!

Stray is a game that will have you thinking, reminiscing and contemplating so many aspects of life. If you love the look of this cute little Cat then you won’t be disappointed. Due to the themes and peril I would suggest this game for ages 12 and over and the game does think 12 is an appropriate age as noted on the purchase details. You can find this game online or on the PlayStation Store.

Thank you for reading this game review today, I hope that you have enjoyed hearing about Stray, and please let me know if you have played this or are planning to play it in the near future.

I will bring you more game reviews soon, now I’m off for a cat-nap! Only kidding! That’s my cats napping next to me while I type up this blog post! Ha! Until the next review then, bye for now.

March 2023 Treatbox Reveal and Review

Hello March 🙂

It’s my birth month! So March has a soft spot in my heart.
I do love Spring as the days get warmer and nature comes alive.

The March 2023 Treatbox landed on my doorstep on the second of March and I eagerly waited to get it open and see what treats awaited me inside. The year started off very well for TBox so I am expecting big things from this months box to keep the momentum going.

Let’s get started shall we! If you would prefer to watch my unboxing video from the other day then you can see it here on either my Instagram or my Facebook so take your pick.

What’s Inside the March Treatbox for 2023?

March Calendar Print – floral design
Treatbox Original Greetings Cards “Keep on Smiling” & “Yay it’s your birthday”
Treatbox Original A5 Print “today is a good day”
Gardners Cookies Iced Biscuit Flower Shape
Two Clipper Tea Bags Peppermint and Berry Burst
Bracelet of Rose Gold and Beads

Organic Cotton Bag “Don’t Worry Be Happy”

My Honest Thoughts About the March 2023 Box

I’m feeling somewhat underwhelmed by this box, and I can’t quite put my finger on why. It could be because Spring and Floral is an obvious choice of theme, or it could be that nothing really stood out for me this month. Yes you still have the usual Treatbox quality of print etc, but I just felt (even while doing my live unboxing video) that something was missing. Nothing made me go “Wow!” at all.

I’m glad that we have something to eat, something to drink, something to wear (bracelet) and something to keep and use (the bag). But I was a little disappointed in the other items. The “keep on smiling” greeting card has a lovely design but the birthday one I found to be less enthusiastic and a heart for a birthday? I wasn’t sure that really worked.

There were only a couple of physical items this time and the rest of them were flat or edible. I like being able to pass the love along of course, but once you’ve sent the cards and eaten and drank those bits you’re just left with a bag and a bracelet. Perhaps I’m being over critical of it this month. Perhaps because January and February were excellent boxes and this box lacks something in comparison in my honest opinion. As to what that might be I’m not sure, even if we had a third card or an A4 print instead of A5… I’m still just not sure what it is that is missing. And no not socks, we can’t have socks every box (LOL) but yeah, maybe a pen to go with the cards would have been good.

If I had to say what was best in the March box then I do like the bracelet, the Rose Gold part of it is sweet, and the Bag is both useful and Organic which I do commend. Overall it’s a nice box of treats and I will be sending on the giftable pieces to brighten up other peoples days. I look forward to enjoying the tea and biscuit this week too, and now I’m off to place my print somewhere.

Let’s hope the April box will be better than the March one and I look forward to finding out.

Spend a few minutes a week wisely online by using Free Websites to Win Cash and Prizes.

Screenshot from PMP website

Hello everyone! It’s the final few days of February, lets end it on a positive note!

Have you ever wondered how you could be more productive with that time you spend scrolling on your phone? Would you also love the chance to win some free money? And no this is not a scam.

Well today I am going to show you two websites, give you my referrals for them so you can join up too, and show you how to make some free money if you get lucky.

Website number one for you to check out is all about your Postcode. Every day I spend less than five minutes checking my phone on a website called PickMyPostcode or PMP for short. Here you sign up with the postcode at your home address, and if your postcode comes up in one of their many draws then you get the free cash! I won £10 a few years ago and I am hoping that it won’t be long before I win again. There are more than 15 UK postcodes drawn every day across the draws so it can happen.

There are draws at 9am and 9pm called Stackpot. There is also a range of draws at Midday and one at 6pm which is a cheeky additional draw that’s right at the bottom of the page. It takes seconds to check each one, and if it’s a match to your postcode it will say CLAIM / COLLECT next to it. Then you can withdraw it to your PayPal account.

Here is a photo of today’s (27th February) draws and amounts.

Screenshot of the PMP Website

I must mention as well that you accumulate a bonus with this website, a penny for every single draw page you check. It soon adds up let me tell you. I am up to £65 now, and what happens is your bonus gets paid out to you when your postcode comes up. That’s double reasons to check it I think.

Amounts for draws vary but are usually from £5 to £100, but if they roll over for a few days when people don’t claim then you could see prize amounts in the region of £1000! So it’s important that you do check it every single day in case it’s your postcode that’s been drawn.

If this interests you then please click the link below this sentence and it will take you to the site where you can sign up. All you need is an email address and your postcode and it’s free to do.

PICK MY POSTCODE

Screenshot of the ITV Win website

So another awesome website that gives out free cash and prizes once a week on a Wednesday is ITV WIN. I only joined ITV Win at the end of last year, but I already won tokens to enter other competitions and £5 in Cash. This one is slightly more time consuming, but you sign up for ITV Win with your details including mobile number, email address and name, and you receive a profile where you can then pay to enter ITV competitions online, enter the free competitions when they are available, and also access WINSDAY. And it’s the Winsday section that you want.

Winsday occurs every Wednesday, and any tickets you’ve accumulated get drawn at random. If your ticket number matches you could win Prizes, Cash or Tokens. How you get the tickets is fairly straight forward too. Once you’ve made your account you go from the top of your profile and scroll down and you’ll see the Winsday graphic on the website. Clicking on it takes you to a video stream. You simply watch a few ITV adverts for things like Masked Singer, This Morning, Ant & Dec, Reality TV and Dramas, and as you watch the Ad’s tickets pop up and you tap them to collect. It keeps a tally for you bottom right of the video stream and your maximum is 30 a week. On average a ticket pops every 1-2 minutes, so I usually watch this a few nights a week while I am stirring the dinner or waiting for the veg in the oven say. Within 20 minutes I’ve got myself a few tickets for free, and they are drawn on a Wednesday afternoon. Just check your profile from Wednesday evening onwards to see if you have won anything.

Screenshot of when a ticket popped up for me today on Winsday video stream.
Screenshot of my account on ITV WIN showing I have 6 tickets so far this week.

When I won £5 a few weeks ago it was easy to withdraw it from my profile as well.

ITV WIN is a great way to try and win things for free and it’s certainly worth it when they draw hundreds of prizes for free every week for its members. Why not give it a try and see how easy it is to (hopefully) win some free money.

Below this sentence is the link to the ITV Win website through my referral and it’s free to sign up.

Fantastic Quality Magnetic Weekly Whiteboard from Tesco allows you to Plan for the Week ahead with ease

Hello and Welcome to my blog!
Today I am writing up another product review for you from a recent purchase that I really felt the need to shout about.

The Tesco Magnetic Planner Board was only £3.00 in my local Tesco Extra store. Not only is that great value for money, but it is high quality throughout. As a whiteboard it’s both easy to write on and easy to see with the contrast in white board and black pen.

Inside the cellophane you get the white board planner with the seven days of the week and space to write on the other side. You find two magnetic strips with sticky tape attached so that you can align them and stick them down to suit your needs. Having this board on the fridge in the kitchen is a great idea for keeping track of meals. But you may want to use it for appointments or children’s activities, it’s so versatile.

I bought this to be a meal planner, and was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the pen to find that not only does it write well and smooth, but it has a sponge attached on the lid part so that you can use it to rub writing out once you’re done! That means no more wasting kitchen roll towels cleaning off the board! Another big tick for me!
You can also recycle the cellophane the board comes wrapped in at your local Tesco too.

Something else very useful is that the pen does have a designated stand and loop to go into at the top of the board, however there is also a magnet attached to the pen lid squared off part too! Meaning you can even have the pen anywhere on your fridge. Handy!

My final thought about this planner is how well it’s design has been thought out, it doesn’t take up too much space because it’s only 16cm wide by 23cm high. Even if you have a small kitchen like I do, it’s still ideal. The only way I would see you needing more of these would be if you had many children and you wanted to keep track of each one with multiple activities and appointments, which isn’t a bad thing at £3 a board you could get several.

As a mother who has a son with multiple food allergies I always write down the meals that we have had either together or separately because if any reactions were to occur I can refer back to the board that way. I have chosen to buy this so that I am not using as much paper, as I had previously written out my meal planners for the week on a Sunday and then clipped them to the fridge. This board is far more practical and if plans change it is easy to alter it too.

My Final Product Review Scores

Quality 5✩
Product Design 5✩
Product Cost 5✩
Features 5✩
Versatility 5✩

That’s a score of 5/5 and it means I highly recommend this product.

My TOP TIP would be to use this as a meal planner, you can also do one
board per child as an activities board, you can have one board as a family
board which looks at appointments and schedules. The list is endless but
you can decide what you would use yours for, and now thanks to me you
know where to find one!

Thank you for reading this product review today, I hope
I have inspired you to get a planner of your own.

Let me know what you would use yours for!

This product is my Monday Mum Hack for Monday 20th of February

Sabrina’s Chunky Pasta Sauce Made in 5 Minutes

Sometimes all we want is a quick evening meal after a long day, so we decide on a fast cooking protein and/or carbohydrate like pasta but we then need a sauce. Only we open up the cupboards and find no jars in sight! Well fear not if this is you every once in a while! Because with my 5 minute sauce you’ll be serving up your food in no time!

Pop your pasta or rice or whatever else on to boil in the background. Then search your fridge and cupboard for any of the following items;

Tomato Puree
Salsa (Mild or Hot)
Chopped Tomatoes
Salt and Pepper
Italian Herbs or Herbs you like or Garlic too
Vegetables – Frozen or Fridge in rough chunks
Onion – Diced (Optional)

Step 1. If you have any onion fry this off in a saucepan until soft.

Step 2. Add 200ml of water to the saucepan now and add a small cup of chunky vegetables per person, easy if it’s out of your freezer but in case it isn’t… Any veg will do like peas or carrots! Just make sure if it’s fresh it’s washed (and carrots peeled) and then cut into small chunks. Add more water now just enough to cover the vegetables and bring it to the boil.

Step 3. While your veggies cook you need to make the sauce part, take all of your chosen ingredients out and put them next to your cooker, also get a tablespoon to measure with. Open any tins that you have like chopped tomatoes and wait for the veg to soften.

Step 4. Once the Veggies are soft carefully drain the water away from your saucepan, then place it back on to the cooker and begin to add the sauce elements.

Step 5. Add in 2-3 Tablespoons of Salsa, 2-3 Tablespoons of Tomato Puree.
Season to your taste with herbs, pepper, garlic etc. A sprinkle of salt is all you need.

Step 6. Mix this all together and now add in your chopped tomatoes, stir well, then return the saucepan to the heat and cook for another couple of minutes until it is hot throughout.

Step 7. Serve with your chosen accompaniment like Pasta, Rice or a Meat like Chicken.

Sprinkle some (I have Dairy Free) Cheese on top too if you like! Delicious!

Thank you for reading this Recipe Blog Post today!

I hope you have a great start to your week.

If you make my chunky pasta sauce I would love to know what you thought of it!

February 2023 Treatbox Reveal and Review

That’s it! The longest month of the year is over! Ha! Ha!

January is forgotten as we move into the new month, and February has lots of things in store for us including the arrival of Winter Flowers and the start of Spring Blooms. There is nothing I like more in Winter than a crisp sunny day, taking a walk among the snowdrops…

Well there is something I like just as much as that, and that’s opening my Treatbox! My little treat to myself, a box once a month filled with a host of items just for me!

February TreatboxUK promises to be a good one as I open up the Calendar Print so as to discover what’s inside the tissue paper. If you would prefer to watch my unboxing video than to read this post you can find it just HERE

Let’s see what was revealed for February 2023…

What’s Inside the February 2023 TreatboxUK

February Calendar Print
Treatbox Original Self Care Cards Set x 9
Treatbox Original Heart Print Lilac Socks
Treatbox Original Keyring Lilac & Pink “what a good day to be proud of how far you have come”
Caramel, Raspberry & Dark Chocolate Popcorn from Popcorn Shed “Berry-Licious” 24g GF
Cocoba “Eat Drink Love” Chocolate Spoon with Marshmallow Hearts 50g
Miss Patisserie Bath Slab in Watermelon Scent 200g Vegan

My Honest Opinion on the Box

February 2023 from TreatboxUK is an uplifting and positivity filled box of treats. We once again received a mixture, so we have an item to eat, an item to make into a drink, something we can keep, something to wear, something to use and something that gives us a positive boost.

I really love the smell of the Watermelon Bath Slab, I haven’t had the time to open it and run myself a bath as yet! But the smell is so lovely it’s on my dining table making the room smell so nice for now! I also look forward to enjoying the hot chocolate spoon, but this is something I can only have when my son is away at his Dad’s due to all of his allergies, I shall be able to enjoy it later this month! And I will post it on my Instagram when I finally do!

We also have the Popcorn which sounds like the TASTIEST flavours ever! I am saving this for Valentine’s Day because (as a single mum) I need something tasty to devour once my little boy is in bed! I’m excited! Raspberry and Dark Chocolate are a winning combination but to also pair it with Caramel… You’re looking at the woman who always keeps Toffee Popcorn in her cupboard so yes, cannot wait! Great choice!

The keyring and it’s quote are uplifting and we also see the theme repeated between this and the socks, the lilac and pink colour scheme. Speaking of sock… so soft and the usual TreatboxUK quality that we have come to know and love! Most days I am wearing a pair of TreatboxUK socks now, as I own more than a weeks worth. They wash and wear brilliantly! Highly recommend them if you ever build a box on the website for anyone definitely add in socks!

Finally we have the TreatboxUK Original items, the Calendar Print and the Self Care Cards. I’m going to be sharing more photo’s of these cards on my social media during the month, some are very poignant like “Stop being so hard on yourself” and “If today was heavy put it down and let it go”. Both are just some of the excellent meaningful quotes and phrases in this pile of 9 cards. You could choose one at random every day to read, or you could pop them around your home so you see them while doing things. Either way they are important acknowledgments about how busy our lives can get, and how stressful things can be, that we all should love ourselves a little bit more and take some time for self care.

Overall I have enjoyed unboxing this February 2023 box and I look forward to consuming and using all of the products that were inside. Hopefully you’ll be able to see more of them on my social media as the weeks of the month progress. I think my favourite item is going to be the popcorn, I hope it’s as tasty as it sounds, and of course I adore the socks.

Thank you for reading this unboxing blog post today, I hope you have enjoyed it.
